Exactly so, WCB. I can think of nothing worse than being patronised and metaphorically patted on the head by a seemingly benign faceless official ‘for my own safety’.

‘The over 70’s.....do not need to use the app, as they will be shielding.’
Oh they will, will they? A little bit of a sweeping statement there. Some will, many won’t. If one is in the ‘high risk’ category then I imagine ‘shielding’ will be something to prioritise. However, if, like my husband, you are well, fit, active and with no comorbidities, ‘shielding’ can take a running jump.
It should always be a choice.

Look luv, as I said, I googled Heathrow this morning. I didn’t say ‘hey everyone, this is empirical evidence’, did I? Sunshine. And you sort yourself out eg don’t jump on bandwagons and DON’T be rude!
It’s not nice and it’s unkind. There are ways and ways of making your point without being any of those things, you know.

Are mosques still operating? If so, how come? As I understand it, churches and chapels have been shut down for the duration. It certainly wouldn’t surprise me, to be honest. There appears to now be one rule for one religious group, another for others.

Good afternoon, Terry. I googled Heathrow this morning and found a long list of flight arrivals. I find it astounding, to be honest. I am trying to take a sensible road through all this panic and, yes, fear that has been and continues to be generated. I am in my 60’s so fall into the ‘elderly at risk’ category, I think. I do not want C19 or any infection, be it common cold or common flu, so I’m adhering to the government edict of one walk a day plus shopping a couple of times a week at most. I resent this imposed restriction but am trying to rationalise my resentment by telling myself I am doing it for me. I’m certainly not doing it for Boris Johnson, because he is showing a certain amount of contempt for me by allowing inward flights etc. to continue whilst expecting me to accept ‘lockdown’.
I think something definitely doesn’t add up in all this.
Stay well, and don’t let the #**@§* grind you down!

I am perfectly willing to accept these measures but please, will someone explain to me why there are Still planes arriving at Heathrow from all over the world, badly affected countries included? The travellers are told to self-isolate for 14 days. Told to not made to.
I’ll do my bit but it’s a tad galling to be in lockdown ourselves and still see inward flights continue unabated. The travellers can’t all be Brits returning home, surely?
