KOMO - Seattle, WA : Want to stop telemarketers? Keep\'em talking | KOMO News - Seattle, Washington | Problem Solvers

What if the call is a recording? I've been getting recording calls from a spammer 4 to 5 times a week for months. I've filed at least tens of complains on the do not call registry site and nothing has happened. The site says FTC does not resolve individual cases. Sounds like these filings would help them IF they do decide to investigate, so not exactly helpful in getting rid of these calls either.

Kathi, you are truly missed. I look forward to turning on the TV and seeing your smile again. Besides, Dan looks lost without you!

Is talking on the phone while driving part of the WSP vigorous driving training? Maybe it is. I'm just curious. I am a graduate of Skip Barber Racing School. I have a regional SCCA racing license. Where do I sign up for exemption to this law because I'm trained? ;)

I agree talking or texting on the phone while driving seems like a bad idea. If you aren't interested in driving, you should get off the road. I also still see drivers on the phone without hands free devices. So...how many tickets have been issued for this thus far, even though it is a secondary offense? Is this law even being enforced? I also still see police/troopers drive around while on the phone without hands free devices. Maybe they're discussing police business, I don't know. But I guess my question would be, do they receive law enforcement communications through their cell phones? Isn't that what the radio is for? Do 911 operators and dispatchers use cell phones to round up officers?
