DACme, the liberal democratic party has consistently been filled with hate towards an individual (GWB). So much so that the party has lost perspective. The democratic party is motivated by hate and as a result in 2004 it came up with an incredibly poor choice for a presidential candidate. The dems could have had the White House in '04 if the party made a rational choice, instead the entire election was focused on hate against one individual. Now in 2009, that hatred has led to the election of not just an extreme liberal, but a socialist at that! So I ask you, who is patriotic? The democratic party has trashed the concept of the Republic which we were founded on. The democratic party embraces "trans-national"-ism over American sovereignty. The democratic party embraces murder on demand of the most innocent of all people; the fetus. The democratic party continues to redefine the constitution in ways that it was clearly not meant. Our opposition is not towards the man Obama, it's towards his policies. Our opposition is patriotic not because of what we are against, but what we are for.

Good question. I think a lot of opportunity has passed. This goes back to the last administration as well. I really hope for a peaceful resolution, but I cannot see that happening with these guys.

Yes, I have noticed this myself . Before the election I noticed very few, then immediately after there was a run on them...they came out of nowhere. Now they are disappearing. I noticed one that was poorly torn off so you could still see the print. If this trend is legitimate, I cannot believe the number of people who are so fickle with their principles. Sheeple...

You're not alone! During the elections, when BHO was campaigning, he made LOTS of promises and painted a very rosy picture. Lots of people believed him, but many of us knew better because this is not the first time we've seen politicians like this. One of those little promises was that nobody making less than $250,000/year (I think that was the figure) would see a tax increase in any way. We all knew he would! What gets me is his blatant nature that people are still following. He's not trying to hide it anymore and he's done some pretty bad things (in less than 100 days in office no less)...and people are still buying it! My point SparkyChaser is that we have always had people like BHO around. What frightens me is that in the past, we Americans have been able to keep them at bay by not voting for them. No more. We really should try to figure out why we have so many gullible people. God Bless America!

HELP! This site is great!!! ...but it's massive and threads are all intermingled. I'd like to ask what are the ways you all organize and keep up with comments. Do you use the dashboard, the RSS feeds, or what? I'm trying really hard to keep track of some threads here, but with as many comments as we have, it's becoming very burdensome. I respectfully disagree with your conclusion, but I agree with your comment on our current situation. 1) NOBODY wants a violent revolution. But I do think that what we are seeing is a revolution nonetheless...a PEACEFUL one. 2) The longer we wait, the harder it will be to get back to normalcy. 3) The current president, his administration, and policies have brought this growing dissatisfaction to a head. 4) Neither mainstream democrats or republicans have the solution. Old school conservatives do! The answer is two-fold: 1) Vote out the people in power now. 2) Vote FOR people who share our values. I think we are well on the way with #1. It's #2 that's got me concerned. The political parties, as they are now, must be aware of our position and provide a suitable candidate. Glenn's idea about this group was brilliant in that it addresses both. We must push-in an organized and peaceful fashion- to become THE MAIN special interest group. Only then will we get our America back. Just my two cents...anyone want change???? (pun intended)

**Retirement** As it stands now, if you serve in congress, your retirement/pension is "generous" to say the least. (See http://www.ntu.org/main/page.php?PageID=20) This should change! My proposal: 1) Congress should be invested in retirement plans no better than that of the average American. 2) After a member serves their term, the member's constituents vote on whether they did a good enough job to warrant these continued benefits.

This is horrible. The President of the US has interfered in the "free market" again, this time so boldly as to demand the CEO resign. Don't misunderstand me, I'm not saying that this CEO is a good business man, but Obama has WAY overstepped his bounds and is abusing his power! That's not his job. In fact it's the opposite! He's supposed to support and defend the constitution. This should infuriate everyone with two brain cells to rub together. IT'S TIME TO USE THE WORD IMPEACH on the basis of abuse of power !!!!!!
