Breitbart.com : New Zealand wooed China to curb US influence: report

I'm with elleno....let the world know the Kiwis are on their own. In fact, I'd go one step further and actually encourage some country or organization to take possession of NZ. Given the absence of any real military force, just about anyone should be able to take them.

Big Journalism : D.C. Metro Police Escorted SEIU Protesters to Bank Of America Executive's Home

This is one of those times when you need about a gallon of skunk scent. You fill up one of those super soaker water guns and fire away. I'm still trying to figure out how anyone can physically step on your property to protest without running the risk you could drop them where they stood with just cause.

Breitbart.com : Gore: Polar ice may vanish in 5-7 years

They talk about the glaciers in Greenland and Antartica dumping ice into the ocean. Last time I checked, glaciers only dump ice (calve) when they are growing. How can they be growing if global warming is taking place? Just wondering.

Breitbart.com : US revokes visas for Honduran officials

What's the problem? As everyone knows, Obama was a well known constitutional scholar who could have easily been granted tenure by the prestigious University of Chicago had he so desired....before he opted to head to Washington. I'm guessing he believes the Honduran constitution, like the US Constitution, was less than perfect when created. Either that or maybe he's following the "living" document approach again. Whatever the case, he's the scholar and we aren't...so drink more kool-aid and he'll let you know what you think when he thinks you need to know what you think.

Breitbart.com : Sen. Dodd says he\'ll refinance Countrywide loans

rono, The problem is Chris Dodd and his ilk do not acknowledge they have done anything wrong even after getting caught. Dodd was called out on this months ago and to this day he still does not get it. What everyone seems to fail to understand is that there are 3 sets of rules: 1. the rules we normal folks follow; 2. the rules politicians in general follow....far less onerous than those for group #1; and 3. the rule Democratic politicians follow....hardly really rules at all. Dodd, Frank, Waters, Schumer, Rangel, Conyers....the list just goes on and on.

Breitbart.com : Iran says Obama\'s offer to talk shows US failure

The problem is neither absolute approach works. You can't fire first and then talk peace. But, by the same token, you can't keep "talking" endlessly. At some point, you have to shut up and poke the other guy in the nose. History shows that talk, without the threat of force, literally never works.

Amazing logic. You mean if Bush had simply asked Saddam Hussein to give up his evil ways and then used force it would have been OK. Wait...that's what happened. The UN passed resolution after resolution...which Saddam ignored. So, using your logic, Bush was totally justified taking out Iraq. Thanks for the assist.

You must subscribe to the theory that if you say something often enough it will soon be taken as a fact. Why else would you keep trying to link the failing economy to Bush and not the real culprits....Frank, Dodd and a host of Congressional Dems.

But if you carry the stick...you need to be willing to use it. Firing a few cruise missiles every now and then does not quite do it. The other guy has to know you are serious about using force or you are impotent. For reference, see William Jefferson Clinton.

The point is not that Iran or Iraq had anything to do with 9/11. The point is that many in the Middle East value life much differently than those in the West. They do not think twice about setting off a bomb to kill innocent civilians. They do not think twice about hiding behind women and children...almost daring their enemy to try to fire on them. If fought battles on their terms we would simply send over a couple of nukes and glass the entire area not caring that the 97% of people caught up in the blast were completely innocent. We are not perfect but I'll take our way over their approach any day.

Right. We will do nothing, as will the rest of the world, until Iran has a nuke. Then, we will be forced to either bomb them back to the stone age or risk having that nuke go off in the US or Europoe....or Israel. How well has diplomacy worked thus far with Iran? Has it stopped their funding/support of Hamas and Hezbollah? NO. Have they scaled back their nuke program...and by that I mean their weapons program?. NO. Yes sir, I would say the diplomatic approach is working just fine. In another few years, things should be just peachy.

I have no problem talking with Ahmadinejad or others within the Iranian power structure....but to do so unconditionally gives them leverage and empowers them to make more outrageous demands. Anyone who has ever negotiated a contract (and that's diplomacy of a kind) knows you do not give something valuable away without getting something in return. Why? Because once you put it on the table, your leverage is gone. There is another classic negotiating adage that may also apply here. Whoever speaks first....loses.
