No matter how you cut it, not voting for someone who represents your views, and did it well, simply because they are in office is counter-productive to what you wish to accomplish. You only have two Senators that can represent you in Congress and you are willing to through out one that you like on the slim chance that you get two that may represent your views. Why not accept Sessions as one of your choices. By your own words he has done a good job for you. Then you can focus you attention on the second Senator. This represents the best chance you have of getting two Senators that represent your views.
You are absolutely punishing Sessions with your strategy. By your words the only thing he has done wrong is to win in an election where he is the minority. You should be working to make him the majority. Your current plan seems very short-sided.

I do particularly like your statement 'serving each other, we find true freedom'. I believe that truly serving each other is the implementaion of the 12 values.

I do not know the exact policy in Michigan but I believe that the government needs to make a reasonable offer for the property before it is seized. Our local paper ran an article about a local high school that needed the land adjacent to it for expansion. They made a fair market value offer on the land but the farmer refused to sell. According to the article the land was seized upon refusal of the offer (the payment was still made). The expansion is now complete.
It is interesting to think how different Washington's struggles would have been if he had employed Emminent Domain to war supplies (particularly food) during the Revolutionary War. However, I would wager that he would have argued that it was such invasive behavior on the part of the government that he was fighting agianst.

The above link is a Washington Post article about the Supreme Court ruling on Emminent Domain from 2005. As an example, I have family in Michigan that was forced to sell their land, at a 'fair' appraised price, so that the state could could add a new on ramp to the highway. They were paid a fair price but they never would have moved given a choice. The public good overrode their personal desires and rights.

What cannot be overlooked with Priciple 2 is that the Founding Fathers took this view. It is clearly represented in the writings of Washington, Jefferson, Madison, Franklin, etc. Washington routinely refers to God as Providence (God conceived as the power sustaining and guiding human destiny). The Declaration of Independence is based on the 'Laws of Nature and of Nature's God'. As individuals we may dissagree with this priciple but as a whole the Founding Fathers did not.
