Hopefully another woman who will rescue the Tory party. She was great at bashing the Police Federation
The SNP are going to lose, the Tories will be re-energised as Labour is falling apart in Scotland
As a branch chairman in a ward we have steadily recruited new helpers, by visiting lapsed members and canvassing and asking people ot spare an hour or so every 3 months ot deliver. I like the idea of you can be a member if say you are an activist you deliver, you come ot social events then you get people more involved. I owuld rather have an activist who tramps the street thna someone who just pays £25 and thats it.
Eastleigh exposed if you let a local Association wither we dont win.
As a Tory Councillor in England and a Scot, I am so pleased to see us gaining ground as a lot of Conservatives in Scotland voted SNP to get rid of Labour. After a no vote I am sure we will see a resurgence in our vote for the GE as people will have stood up and said they were Unionists and not shying away from admiting they are Conservatives.
I am pleased UKIP are making in-roads into Labours heartlands, and the last week has shown how inept Miliband is especially out of his comfort zone. The Swindon gaffe was typical of the dislocation from the grassroots. As a Tory Councillor up for re-election at the same itme as the GE, I hope Cameron brings back David Davis and deploys Boris because if we dont win this country is well and trully done for. I Must admit impressed by Teresa Mays take on of the Police Federation.
Along with my local MP Mike Penning, someone who has had a real job....next bring back David Davies into the Cabinet
Thank you for pointing that out, however the trend is still labour down 3 pointd
The Union has been very successfull without it the British Empire might not have come into being. The Union enabled Scots to expand thier horizons, however with our retreat from Empire in the 60s and the decline of heavy engineering which has been happening since WW1 the Scots have felt less engaged.
As a Scot, vote no.....the SNP will implode and the Conservatives will rise with renewed vigour offering an alternative to the Socialist clap trap. Rember the SNP only got 60k more votes than the Tories in the last GE.
The main worry has been that most of the UKIP supporters were Tory. Yesterdays polls displayed a 6 point reduction in Labour, with 4 point increase to UKIP, are wee seeing a trend of defections of Labour supporters?
