Boris should call for a Vote Of No Confidence in the Government. 3 Line Whip to support the motion. Let Labour/Liberals/SNP and rebels either support it or vote that they have confidence in the government. That would show the public how stupid the Opposition are and how reluctant they are to allow an election despite all they say.

We tried Proportional Representation in the AV Referendum of 2011. It was overwhelming rejected by 67.9%. The 2016 referendum was a binary choice and offered no middle ground. This is the case for every referendum ever had in the UK and yet this referendum is being resisted by Parliament. There have been 13 referendums held in the UK and this is the only one which Parliament has refused to implement. No wonder the anger in the country.

In my mind it is very simple. The 2016 Referendum passed the power to the people to make a decision on a binary choice. To Leave or Remain in the EU. There is no grey area here. The fact that the result was 'close' in percentage terms was irrelevant. Once the choice had been made it was down to the law makers to enact that choice. The purgatory that the electorate have had to go through since 2016 is down to parliament not enacting that binary choice. A50 was enacted and that enabled the referendum to be met. Leave with or without a deal. The deal that the former PM agreed with the EU (some would argue presented by the EU) was rejected 3 times. All this shilly shallying now push comes to shove and the end is in sight is unbecoming of our parliamentarians. The decision was made and if no better deal is forthcoming we must leave. We must respect the electorate. To do otherwise is very dangerous and will result in Parliament vs The People. To ignore the decision met by 17m electors is disgraceful.

1. Call a VONC Monday. Order Conservative MPs to vote him out. Can't see SNP and Labour supporting the government by having confidence!!
2. Prorogue Parliament Tuesday
3. 14 Days later tell HM that the government can no longer continue, that there is no one who can support a majority and call a GE.

Simple!!!

Light the blue touch paper and sit back for comments!!

I wonder if the Master Plan is 1. Call a VONC Monday, instruct his MPs to vote against. 2. Prorogue Parliament a day or so later 3. 14 days after losing the VONC and during prorogation call a GE!!!!! Mmmmmmm go for it Boris!!!!

Whilst I respect his position (every one has the right to free speech), I do not accept the crux of the argument. What was voted on in 2016 was to leave the EU. You cannot be a subject to EU laws and jurisdiction and that is what is being argued that we do. We (the UK) public for too long have been left to Parliament applying EU rules and treaties without a say. No say over Lisbon. No say over Maastricht. You argue that we could remain out of the Euro and the ever closer integration to a United States of Europe and yet remain integrated. No. Given Lisbon and Maastricht how can the UK public trust Parliament not to give away yet more? Out means out. If you and others believe we should be in the EU then raise the case for that argument after we have left. Set up a pro-EU British Party. Or stay within the Conservative Party and argue the case. Just do not tie the Prime Minister's hands before 17th Oct. There is time after that to argue the case for rescinding A50 or extending. Just not now.
