Conservative Victory 2012 : Mitt Romney supporters, Ron Paul partisans brawl at Oklahoma GOP convention

Oh, they were Mitt "supporters" and Paul "partisans"? I get it. And who did the story say were throwing punches? And who was civilized enough to stick around afterwards to actually talk about the issues? Gotta love the media.

Repost, but maybe it fits here better.. The proper Constitutional response to the whole "gay marriage" debate... The Fed needs to stay the heck out! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yundkf6EfdA&fe...! A Democrat who favors gay marriage but does nothing about it is preferable to a Republican who will make it a federal issue and ban it.

Conservative Victory 2012 : Three-Way Race: Romney 44%, Obama 39%, Ron Paul 13%

"Question 2) In thinking about the 2012 Presidential Election suppose you had a choice between Republican Mitt Romney, Democrat Barack Obama and independent Ron Paul. If the election were held today would you vote for Republican Mitt Romney, Democrat Barack Obama or independent Ron Paul?" Republican Mitt Romney, Democrat Barack Obama and INDEPENDENT Ron Paul?! Yep, nothing like biased poll questions to accurately gauge people's feelings :D The fun never ends. How about this... If the general election were held today, would you prefer Republican Ron Paul, Republican Mitt Romney, or Democrat Barack Obama to be the next President?

I thought you were probably some liberal troll with no respect for the flag, but it turned out to be the complete opposite. Logged off and ate some much needed humble pie :) Thanks again.

Don't feel too bad 10ACS1, I checked out your profile last night and saw one of your earliest posts that was clearly a response to something stupid I said to you. You were polite and gave me a thorough explanation and after licking my wounds I was appreciative of it. At the time I thought you were a jerk, but looking back, you couldn't have been more polite. I voted for Paul in the primary against McCain last time and I wasn't even a full-blown conservative-libertarian, but your posts helped me to see how far the GOP had fallen from its conservative roots (and it's pretty darn far). I eventually voted for McCain in the general, and may vote for Romney this time DESPITE the immaturity and bombast of the current crop of "conservatives" supporting him. But, it's too soon for that. I won't vote AGAINST any candidate based on their supporters, not Obama, not Romney, not Paul. I recommend others do the same. Research the candidates views and platform and compare it with the Constitution and the writings of the founding fathers, then pick the one MOST in line. I've been saying for over a year that Romney and Paul are the ONLY ones with a chance to beat Obama, so I'm not sad to see the others go, but why settle now for a RINO? Makes no sense to me. No one likes a rude and immature person, especially if they're representing your side. I can't imagine the comments you referred to are looked at with any measure of pride from the typical Republican trying to get support for Romney. There have been a couple of times I've taken a supposed Paul supporter to task for acting stupid, and I try (unsuccessfully sometimes) not to act like a jerk myself. That's the best anyone can do: be a good representative of your "side" and correct those who are not. You're doing as good a job as any IMO; my blood boils at a much lower temperature :D

It's true. He's had this conspiracy going since the 1970's. We've all been in on it, 10ACS1 just doesn't want to tell you. This is the plan: Advocate constitutional limitations on the federal government for a few decades and at just the right time BAMMM! convince enough people that conservative-libertarianism is in line with the founding principles and get them to oppose the nomination of a RINO. He will now hold the world ransom for one millllllllllion dollars! Sorry, 10ACS1, I had to tell them. I just couldn't keep it a secret any longer :'(

Conservative Victory 2012 : Anarchy at the Libertarian Party Convention [UPDATED]

"Anarchy" = A political organization having non-violent argument over procedures regarding representation leading to multiple re-votes. Those libertarians really showing their true "anarchist" colors. Just look at those folks in the video, clearly just a bunch of pothead malcontents looking to get Obama reelected. I can't believe that one guy threw that chair up on stage, and the fist fight in the crowd... Horrific! And that second video is just as bad. I didn't think they'd ever be able to extinguish that dog they set on fire. Poor thing. You never see arguing or bickering in the GOP. I wish these jerks would just get with the program, grab their pompoms, and prematurely support a real legendary defender of liberty like Mitt Romney.

Conservative Victory 2012 : Obama launches campaign to half empty auditorium

If your behavior is linked to my wallet, I will want to control your behavior. This is why we are both against national healthcare. But (and here's the rub), our only justification for fighting national healthcare is the 10th Amendment. Republicans have done more harm to themselves by supporting the "War on Drugs" because we have undermined the 10th Amendment when it came to some silly social issue that made us uncomfortable. Now we're all huffy and puffy (no pun intended) because the Democrats want to also trample the 10th Amendment to "protect us." Can't you see its the same mentality that is tearing this country apart? Without the 10th Amendment, there's no such thing as a "republic." There's a name for people who don't like the 10th Amendment: "democrats". I get very frustrated when I see more criticism of pot-heads than RINOs, or when someone tries to influence others to vote against a candidate who supports the 10th Amendment because his followers supposedly smoke dope. So what if they did? So what if every single Ron Paul supporter was a strung out drug addict with horrible manners and bad attitudes? How does that change the message? How does that change anything at all? I've talked to plenty of "conservatives" who were horribly rude, and (yes) smoked pot. Does that change the conservative message? I don't smoke weed, and I never met a Paul supporter who does. That's my experience with libertarians (conservative-libertarians anyway). Liberty is messy, but it's worth it. People will do things you don't like. There are laws against public drunkeness, driving drunk, etc. etc. No one is calling for anarchy. Paul's focus is giving the states back their freedom. Romney is more than welcome to get on board with that message anytime he wants. I'm certainly not stopping him. Heck, I'm encouraging him.

His record is quite remarkable in one sense, it reflects the old fashioned conservative perspective... hard to do these days, and he's done it better than anyone. I count it an asset, not a "fault." "I have little interest in streamlining government or in making it more efficient, for I mean to reduce its size. I do not undertake to promote welfare, for I propose to extend freedom. My aim is not to pass laws, but to repeal them. It is not to inaugurate new programs, but to cancel old ones that do violence to the Constitution, or that have failed their purpose, or that impose on the people an unwarranted financial burden. I will not attempt to discover whether legislation is "needed" before I have first determined whether it is constitutionally permissible. And if I should later be attacked for neglecting my constituents' "interests," I shall reply that I was informed that their main interest is liberty and that in that cause I am doing the very best I can." - Barry Goldwater But, he has done a couple of things while in office... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_legislation_...

This nation needs a revival far more than another election. I'm passionate about my candidate, but even if he were to win, I'm under no illusion things will get better without the grace of God snapping us out of our spiritual sleep. Christ is King, now and forever. “Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.” - John Adams.
