If you haven’t funded your purchases via debt then S24 will not be a problem for you.

Play at being offended and ignore my assumption all you like but that’s a fact.

You could just sell the flat to someone who can either afford to buy and live in it or someone who can afford to buy it to rent out. Plenty of cash buying Landlords out there who wouldn’t need to pass on the costs of all the debt they’ve got themselves into.

As a tenant, I must say I’m a huge fan of the measures the Conservatives have put in place so far. My only regret is that they don’t go far enough or fast enough. This is not about merely removing the advantages that leveraged landlords who want to own multiple homes have at the expense of those hoping to own just one. This should not be about merely levelling the playing field. We need to firmly give hardworking people the advantage. Make the aspiration of homeownership a reality instead of a pipe dream due to Landlords pushing up prices by hoovering up properties, creating the demand they purport to serve with reckless interest only debt. The partial removal of mortgage interest relief should be fully removed, the PRA regulations should go further, the ability to get interest Finance should be removed, a land value tax should be introduced allowing the reduction of tax on productive labour instead of favouring unproductive rentierism. It’s no surprise to hear where this Lord stands on the matter...

It’s Ok, your friend Jamie Fraser (Deltic) has now confirmed that No Fault evictions do exist, and he is the esteemed leader of the Conservatives in Stevenage Borough Council so he should know. Thanks for the confirmation Jamie.

I’m just correcting your ignorance. You being less ignorant would be a great way to improve matters and there’d be less need for you to rattle on about language and god knows what else. Sometimes it’s just easier to admit you’re wrong.

You say ‘there is no such thing as a no fault eviction’ but apparently you don’t actually mean ‘there is no such thing as a no fault eviction’ yet accuse me of a poor grasp of the English language.

To be clear for any other readers, and despite what these portfolio landlords say, there absolutely definitely is such a thing as a no fault eviction. It exists and it happens.

Wow, castigated by someone who says there is no such thing as a no fault eviction.

How do you counter this kind of idiocy from Landlords?

It’s not even an argument or matter of opinion.

There just is such a thing.

Amazing ignorance.

Hang on, so you’re complaining about a lack of facts then you say that ‘there is no such thing as a no fault eviction’?

Sure thing. Although it’s weird how you keep banging on about being an ex-Tory but now admit to being a Conservative councillor. Wouldn’t Stevenage Council want to know about that fact? Been meaning to mention a few other things to them actually.

Happy campaigning, James!

Exactly - well said Jamie. Easy to get there in the end.

I proper loved reading you whine in the Times the other week. No wonder you get all abusive when someone says they’re a fan of PRA. 8.5k in fees... ouch!
