/Film : Inception Has $200 Million Budget

This is fascinating. Nolan brought Dark Knight in under budget by 20 million making one of the largest and most epic superhero films for under 200 million. Now he turns around and is making a completely new story in the Nolan way(see Prestige) and has a budget of 200 million? What does Nolan have in store for us. He's already established himself as an amazing story teller that doesn't need an astronomic budget to convey it(see James Cameron). Nolan is making us hate him right now with all the secrecy but we will love him for it.

/Film : John Lithgow Joins Dexter, 24 Casts Two More

Exactly! Doaks brought a balance to the show, and it was missing that in season three. Also I believe that Rudy should still be haunting dexter but as with doaks they got rid of him very early in season two.

/Film : Early Buzz: The First Real Reviews for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen

Sounds like a Michael bay film to me, and that isn't necessarily a bad thing. Every once and a while we need big budget action films that let us have fun. It's pretentious to think that every film that comes out has to be a serious analytical view of the human condition. On top of that I'll take transformers over any crappy action film that has came out recently.

Sam Raimi's back bitches and he's not taking prisoners. Seriously this was a big "fuck you" to everyone that doubted him. The film seemed like he was getting out some frustration and made this film to punch audiences in their faces.

As a big Doctor Who fan I don't know how to feel about this. I would love to see a large budget feature film starring Tennant but at the same time the television model works so well for the series and I don't want them to take something away from that to make a movie.

I kind of wanted to see Fanboys but nothing about it really hooked me. However this seems to transcend Star Wars the movie and taps into what the culture of Star War's means on a larger scale and on a personal level. So I hope this get's picked up.

It very much feels like a classic gilliam film. I see bits from 12 monkey's, munchhausen, brazil. It will be interesting how smoothly the difficulty's of making this film translate into a compelling movie that we all know gilliam is very capable of pulling off.

/Film : Guy Ritchie's Sherlock Holmes Movie Trailer

Now when the producers said that there would be more action I was exactly expecting this much. Also their interpretation of Holmes seems to be radically different then the traditional version. I understand the reinventing of the character to update him and make him relevant. Which is all fine and good. Examples are of course Nolan's Batman and the new version of Bond. However the core theme's remain intact and actually due more to explore these interesting characters. This version of Holmes doesn't seem to do that but instead we are given what looks like a remake in the vain of Wild Wild West. Of course this could just be the trailer and the movie isn't like this at all (the slow motion bare knuckle fight says differently).

yeah a 65 mil is a best possible scenero. Hopefully it will have really good word of mouth and continue to gross. It's just nice to hear that alot of non trek fan's are wanting to go see this movie. Which is always a good sign and even better for a trek film. the question is not what it will gross but how people will respond to it.

I think it comes from the love of T2. It was a great action movie that just turned everything up to eleven. Now people want to see that again. Not to mention the fact that Christian Bale is badass and watching him play a character that has been hyped up to be badass for over a decade is just exciting for anyone that has liked any of the movies or even the series. It's just mind numbing action packed fun.
