Being that both of my parents were in the teaching industry, I get to hear this all the time. There has been a shift towards teachers to not only educate them on reading, writing, and math. Today, teachers have to almost raise the children since parents aren't around as much or they just don't support the kids. Parents need to be held accountable as well. There are a lot of good teachers out there and bad. The teachers need to be evaluated and pay the good teachers more while getting the bad out. Unions aren't going to help in this matter only hinder it. Now we know that they had those as Saddam decided to use them on his own country. They blocked UN inspectors from coming into the country to look at the evidence.
