Sadly I can't see WWE willing to take a punt on a 43 year old with no real WWE experience beyond performing as one of the fake Conquistadors.

Fandango did it last year and won against a future HoFer, done wonders for him.

This is how Del Rio breaks down for me. Say there are 10 key qualities needed to be a great great great WWE star, Del Rio matches 6 of them perfectly, 2 of them pretty good but is missing the other two. Those (again, for me) are - personality and explosiveness.

Personality - Whether it's because English is his 2nd language or for other reasons, he lacks a real personality. His personality has been defined by his gimmick since he started and not a single word or action that has come from him since that day has really expanded on that.

Explosiveness - As great as I think he is technically in the ring, and as awesome as his moveset is, it always feels to me like he's moving in slow motion. I don't just mean he's got a slow style when I say that, but when he's doing things like running for his corner enziguri it just feels slow.

Other things that I don't think have endeared him to fans are - A generally boring gimmick "cars, wealth, destiny yes yes fine". An absolutely moronic face turn. Finally, the biggest one for me personally is that he was pushed in the title scene pretty much from the moment he started. Within 2 years he was an RR winner, multi time champion and MITB winner. Him losing the WHC to Cena was pretty much the first time he has been taken out running for one of the titles for a decent length of time. Basically, it got boring seeing Del Rio cycle throw Big Show and Sheamus as opponents again and again.

Him winning it at WM is now in doubt yeah, he'll definitely win it within the next few months though, just in time for him to promote Guardians of the Galaxy with the belts.

I have been watching through VPN (UKer here) don't know whether that may have something to do with it.

I've not been charged anything.

I signed up for the free trial, cancelled before the free trial was over yet it's still working fine. Very strange.

Not that I'm complaining about the following but -

I cancelled my subscription to the Network on Sunday, my account says it's been cancelled, I have an email saying as much and obviously the free trial period has now ended... I'm still able to view all the content on the Network and I'm currently watching Slamboree '98. Anyone else experienced this?
