This is great Claire! I want to see what you come up with also :) And hey-- were you the one with the Shakespeare facebook book? (That sounds really repetitive haha). Anyway, if you are, could you bring it to class on wed maybe and could I borrow it? It sounds really funny and I could use a laugh right about this time of the semester :)

Caroline this is so interesting! It really reminds me of what we were talking about today in class: how Shakespeare is like a platform or an environment where so many different peoples and cultures can come and develop their own take and their own version of Shakespeare. The Victorians definitely did that! I'm so glad you posted this. Even though our topics seem pretty different, I think that all the different ways that people represent Shakespeare through art is an example of the same phenomenon. Shakespeare has a thousand million faces because there are so many ways of seeing and interpreting him

Cara thanks for organizing this! I'm planning on listening to it from the classroom and I can't wait! It's going to be way coool :) I think you need to get an A++ on the social learning part of this course because of all the great things you've organized with people outside of class! (Dr Burton are you getting this??) haha way to go!

Cara I think this is a great direction to go. I feel exactly the same way and I spoke a little bit about how I think the inherent fun that naturally comes out of Shakespeare's theater is proof of this too. It was number 4 in this post of mine if you wanted to read it: http://midsemesterdelusions.blogspot.com/2011/03/.... Just so you can see someone agreeing with you :) I'm excited to see what you come up with!

This is great Bryan! I want to do the same thing and go back through my blog to tie it all together into a more cohesive identity. However, I think my blog needs it more than yours! :)

Cara. I think you are so right on this :) I'm glad you found that!

Bryan this was really helpful in so many ways. I see a lot of things in Shakespeare's work now that I hadn't considered before. And I really appreciated your links to Dr Burton's sources. Your blog is such a good example of what a research blog can be. So thanks :)

I think this is so interesting! It''s really intriguing to compare Elizabethan culture to ours. I'm not sure if I agree that there are NO spectacular individuals in our age of spectacle-- maybe that isn't what you were claiming (Lady GaGa comes to mind)-- but I would be interested to hear more of your argument definitely! Good inquiry :)

Thanks Caroline :) I kind of feel like I'm asking for public ridicule haha but it was definitely fun!
