I'm now more convinced that this is no longer just about a virus.

Total deaths in 2020 (to date) places this year 14th out of the last 30 years.

Where is the evidence that this new strain (discovered in September) is 70% more infectious –a question Professor Carl Henaghan tweeted yesterday. Also, if the Wuhan virus only arrived at the end of the year, how can this strain be a variant of something that apparently wasn't here then?

Why has the government already awarded a contract (to an unnamed company) for a Covid-19 Certificate/Passport?

When is this all going to be properly debated in the HoC?

This government cares not one jot about transparency and freedom of speech.

This is NOT a conservative government in any way, shape or form.

A peer-reviewed study measuring the effectiveness of a controversial drug cocktail that includes hydroxychloroquine concluded that the treatment lowered hospitalizations and mortality rates of coronavirus patients.

The study, set to be published in the International Journal of Antimicrobial Agents in December, determined that “Low-dose hydroxychloroquine combined with zinc and azithromycin was an effective therapeutic approach against COVID-19.”

Portugal, rightly, has declared the PCR tests unreliable and has stopped them.

"Based on the currently available scientific evidence this test [the RT-PCR test] is in and of itself unable to determine beyond reasonable doubt that positivity in fact corresponds to infection by the SARS-CoV-2 virus, for several reasons, among which two are paramount (to which one would need to add the issue of the gold standard, which, due to that issue’s specificity, will not be considered here): the test’s reliability depends on the number of cycles used; the test’s reliability depends on the viral load present."

The government should stop the testing charade and prioritise assets to protection of the elderly and treating those who are hospitalised. Oh, and while they're about it, they should lift the unscientific ban on HCQ.

Of course, they won't.

Well, clearly you don't.

You can't have a rate without a denominator. It is simply not possible to calculate a daily infection rate when the number of people being tested varies and the PCR test cannot show when an infection took place (or even if it did).
