KOMO - Seattle, WA :

Seattle considers crackdown on \'chronic nuisance\' areas |

Sorry - you're right. But, given that, I don't see a direct connection to the Burgess proposal. That is, have the police been called about the squatting transients, have the property owners been contacted and refused to act, etc? I just get steamed when the news media try to create an Aurora Ave connection in every story about poor people and the derelicts that might share their neighborhood. I don't think they should have assigned that location for the live shot when the only fresh part of the story was about a West Seattle situation. Also, sorry to Holmes (in another comment) about my paragraph structure.

B___ S___ Ray Lane - I hope you're reading this -- Reporting from Aurora Ave and focusing your story on those pitiful people from West Seattle? WTH? I'm really sorry that "transients" have rented a property near theirs ... oh, wait - they're not transients if they're settled in with a lease, are they? Whatever. Sensationalist.

Sheryl Crow was making an obvious JOKE when she wrote that bit about toilet paper. On behalf of people that think saving the planet is a noble cause, we're sorry that the "Save the planet stuff is exhausting" to you.

KOMO's link at <a href="http://www.komonews.com/about/schedule" target="_blank">http://www.komonews.com/about/schedule (as well as titantv.com ) are usually pretty accurate and show the service coverage. At least they're accurate now, as I type this. I just wish that the broadcast stations with their digital technology options given them recently (channel 4.2 etc) could have regular programs on one of their channels. I would rather watch The View than choose between 10 channels to watch this guy's funeral.

Woman: OMG! Sorry about that -- are you OK? Boy: Yeah, I'm OK. (I probably shouldn't have been walking down the wrong side of Susan Street) Woman: Do you need a ride? I'm on my way to work, but I'll give you a ride. Or make a call for you. Boy: No, really, I'm OK. Woman: Well, here's $5. That's all I have on me. I really should call 911; just don't tell anyone that I was a hit-and-run or anything. Boy: OK. No prob.

If you still believe in the myth of the "liberal media" in the mainstream, I believe you're wrong. This piece was conceived, produced, and promoted with profits, market share, and a bit of resume-building in mind, not the political opinions of the KOMO owners. What I find surprising is that I actually agree with most of your comment!

KOMO - Seattle, WA : Obama goes prime-time; McCain goes after Obama | KOMO News - Seattle, Washington | Election

Philip Berg is still holding his NObama grudge from the primaries. His case was dismissed, just as the similar case against McCain was (the Coco Naval Air Station was NOT part of US territory according to that lawsuit). The dismissal and the Emergency Injunction dismissal are under appeal. Go ahead and hold your breath - I'll let you know how it turns out. The Berg complaint is especially funny (to me at least) in that its only sources are websites (wikipedia!!) and Inside Edition.

KOMO - Seattle, WA : Shooting leaves teen dead, another injured | KOMO News - Seattle, Washington | Local

cmiklich -- I disagree with this comment (your earlier post was great) - you can't generalize about all cops in Seattle not caring about car theft. They come and take the report, the criminal and the car are long gone; every chance they can they call in plate numbers and try to make an arrest or recover a stolen car. They post signs and patrol "prowl" areas. I don't necessarily agree with their priorities, but they have to prioritize somehow. - do you really have a list of the SPD top 20 priorities; and really, larceny/car theft isn't on it?! - bad guys DO come back (the couple who murdered their family in Carnation? They came back to "discover" the crime). I'm sure the conviction rate would be lower if they let evidence get moved or trampled on and didn't record everything at the scene of a murder. - No offense to commenter "Woodinville" but there are bad cops out there, and giving them incentive to fabricate evidence or lie just to get their salary doesn't seem like a good policy. If they were paid by the conviction I think we would be in trouble.

justonevoice can quote from factcheck.org when it suits her/him, but leaves out the parts about there being NO question about his birth and continuous US citizenship. "the Kenyan Constitution prohibits dual citizenship for adults. Kenya recognizes dual citizenship for children, but Kenya's Constitution specifies that at age 21, Kenyan citizens who possesses citizenship in more than one country automatically lose their Kenyan citizenship unless they formally renounce any non-Kenyan citizenship and swear an oath of allegiance to Kenya. " Since Sen. Obama has neither renounced his U.S. citizenship nor sworn an oath of allegiance to Kenya, his Kenyan citizenship automatically expired on Aug. 4,1982.
