Well of course season 5 will be like this: this fandom never criticise and when someone tries to point out the flaws of the show... well that happens.

Now don't get me wrong, actually I like Cadence and I have nothing against her but, she's still a commercial character and the pink pretty pony princess of love, made with the only purpose of selling toys.

If I have to chose beetwen her and "a little dragon (a creature that represents disharmony) given for unknown reasons to the future bearer of the element of magic/friendship, that will become his sister, mother and best friend all at once" I chose the second.

But everything I want is to see ALL THE CHARACTERS being themselves, this episode would have been perfect with Spike in,
I would have loved to see Cadence and him finally talking...
Instead he was first treated like... like he's constantly being treated, and then removed without any care from the episode...

It isn't that hard to make everyone happy.

And no, Spike has been reduced to a background character during this season.
When was the last time he teased Twilight or the girls? When was the last time he interacted to one of the other mane six? When was the last time he made you smile?

Do you remember Twilight during season one? She wasn't exactly the kindest pony in the show, she was easly annoyed by everything and always in hurry for something, and in the first episode, she was SLIGHTY worried about the return of a Mad Alicorn Goddess that wanted to bring eternal night on Equestria; but anyway in the end Twilight always thanked Spike for his hard work, she always loved and cared of him, ... now?
Anyway I ENJOYED the occasional Spike abuse, as I enjoyed the occasional Twilight abuse or Pinkie abuse...
My problems with this seasons are that "He was funny, sarcastic, with a big ego, he was ALWAYS USEFUL, protective towards the ponies he loves" and "His relationship with Twilight was something wonderful", now he's boring, useless, depressed because he feels useless (Twilight assistant -TWILIGHT ASSISTANT-, he goes to Canterlot for royal business,he's the one that writes royal decrees for Celestia...do I have to go on?) ... and for the sidekick thing... I don't consider my loyalest, first and best friend that has ALWAYS helped me in EVERYTHING, a sidekick... I won't ever consider ANY of my friends a "sidekick",
And Spike now is the only one abused, a child.

And seriously a Twilight episode without him? An episode with Cadence without him...?

"The fanfic only caring about a few characters comment seemed particularly off because this season is unusual in that it incorporates all the characters in the main cast for pretty much every episode" yes, you're right, I made a bad exemple...
let's say that Spike is an important part of Twilight's character, because with him we can see what she truly rapresents:
Responsability, Hard Work and Friendship.
Now she isn't... making a great job on taking care of him... at all... the only time they worked toghether in "Castlemania" Spike was always scared and in the end she isn't being... a good friend with him.
I don't know but she doesn't seem the Twilight that I knew and even with all the screen time she as, I can't like her.
I'm not a Spike fan, for exemple I always liked Twilight more, I have always tried to enjoy everything of this show from Luna to Octavia, from the funny episodes to the more sentimental ones...
But now how can I love a Rainbow Dash that says "A friend never leaves another friend behind" and then she carries everyone but Spike on some adventure.
How can I enjoy the "bounding moments" when Spike is excluded.
I can't enjoy a kid show called Friendship is Magic, where someone treats like this an orphan child.

Yes we are always afraid that he won't appear in the next episode - Spike, the Best Friend of the protagonist
We are alyawys afraid that in the next episode there won't be true friendship - In Friendship Is Magic
What will come next? We'll be afraid that in the next episode there won't be any ponies?

Well ... a single episode where he is treated nicely doesn't make me feel that happy... mostly when I think that in all the other episodes he's completly ignored/punched/smashed or left behind by the only friends/family he has... in a kid show called Friendship is Magic

So yeah, another "super-duper-fun" episode.
A Twilight and Cadence episode, where Spike isn't a main character...or a secondary character for that matter... he barely appears two times...just like the entire season. Even his basket has disappeared...

This show used to make me happy, now it's only depressing me, this season seems more like a fanfic made by a brony that cares only of two or three characters and that gives them all the spotlight, development and every funny moment, while everything and everyone else
is just forgotten... I can enjoy a story like this, but from the show I expect something more.

Spike was a main character, he was funny, sarcastic, with a big ego,he was ALWAYS USEFUL (He even writes royal decrees for Celestia!), protective towards the ponies he loves like Twilight, Fluttershy or you know Rarity (Had they even talk during this season?).
His relationship with Twilight was something wonderful: a little dragon (a creature that represents disharmony) given for unknown reasons to the future bearer of the element of magic/friendship, that will become his sister, mother and best friend all at once!
They had always helped each other, supported each other, they had a lot of funny moments and they had always been together! It was something unique.
Now she just leave him behind, because she doesn't need him all the time/anymore... her first and best friend... and that's actually what his worst fear is. Yeah great, just great very funny.

The mystery, the lore, the world, the relationship between characters, the acts of loyalty, friendship, compassion and trust... now everything seems so... vague or hypocryte... This season didn't even feel like MLP anymore.
Instead of making an episode with Cadence, a commercial character, the pink pretty pony princess of love, why don't you, dear writers, at least REMEMBER the characters role? Is that hard to make them talk... interact with the other characters...or atleast let them doing something?

I don't want to watch this show just to see an orphan child left behind by his friends, betrayed by all the family he has and treated more like a sack of potatoes than a living being.

This isn't what had made this show special, this is not what had made this show loved by everyone.
