I love this comment. It has been so much fun daydreaming about winning, but I also know that someone out there needs a new house and car more than I do. I want to throw my hope in the barrel, too -- let this wonderful house go to someone who has never had new, beautiful things. Or somebody who needs a fresh start in a healthy, happy town. We'll be cheering for you!
The space in this house that steals my heart is the mud room off the garage. It looks to me like an emotional airlock where you can peel off the day, surrounded by the calm blue of the walls and the modern mountain watercolors. Best of all, when you enter the house this way, you come up the staircase and pass the grand "Wall D'Art." I can't imagine a better way to transition from outside to inside.
When we pulled up in the driveway, I would walk around to the outdoor kitchen, and just stand there, looking at the lake, for as long as it took to believe that I was actually there!
I like the rustic ceiling. It gives the master bath a spa/sauna feel.
The references to Idaho throughout the cabin are what make this home so endearing -- the state-shape wall art in the foyer and outdoor kitchen, the COEUR table, the Idaho pillow in the guestroom -- and that's not including all of the local stone and wood featured throughout the house and landscaping. Awesome job capturing the heart of the Gem State!
