Keep in mind that Stealth suits have several problems: 1) Pricey, 2) Compete with Crisis and Riptide (due to their far better damage output), 3) Their melta is still on BS 3.

So you really should only take them if you need to deep strike things, and considering the state of things with 40k and how quickly people figure things out, I very much doubt there are competitive lists out there with stealth suits.

You can take them because you like them, and that's fine. If you are taking them, yeah, a few MLs are kinda worth it. But you have to state why you're taking them and consider what they actually bring. 1 BS 3 Melta for 95p isn't it.

Actually, if they don't produce it anymore (can't back-order the issue), they may not be able to do anything about you just printing the dex, because it's not available any other way.

Vehicle Survivability: People assume that DE have to die in droves. They don't. Read the fluff, if placed in a situation where it's might vs. might, they MAY lose. But they're actually represented as pretty tough, numerous opponents. Currently, DE die like flies, so they can't do what they need to do, aka, kick ass. They still have AV 10, so you'll still get a bazillion pens on them, it's just SLIGHTLY less of them will mean something.

Scourges: What's wrong with units being able to do cool stuff? What's wrong with other people being able to do cool stuff with their otherwise-niche/shitty units?

Webway Portals: This would require major changes to the dex. It's a hastily thrown-in option with some awesome potential, but nothing will come of it unless you have solid portal-delivery (this is huge, mandrakes could work here) and solid portal options (you'd need to change quite a few units to get this working).

Not true, you can do a larger fix, where you choose the 'major' units that just need better points costs, then upgrade them (this has the problem of exacerbating balance problems).

The problem with that is now you basically need a new dex due to your old dex being a mess of faq changes (or, GW, you could just have second-tier rulebooks be affordable online).

One thing to note is that the Hammerhead has another role, an AV 13 vehicle that can, if you're lucky, BLoS your suits. With 3++ (and every once in a while 2++), that's pretty huge.

It's cinematic is similar to the rule of cool in some ways. Except it's GW's rule of cool, and thus horrendously unbalanced (Nids and Chaos, looking at you).
