I know I've questioned the name in an earlier comment, but I do want to reiterate that no matter what it's called, the site is really outstanding. The redesign is very sharp, and your tools are top-notch. I used to use another site but switched to Gyminee/DailyBurn and haven't regretted my decision even once. Keep up the excellent work! (Still anxiously waiting for that iPhone and then BlackBerry apps though!!! I'm sure the wait will be worth it based on the teasers you've posted here on the blog.) Although I completely understand why you chose DailyBurn, it does have more of a… well… a "getting fit is really hard/painful" connotation to it. That *might* discourage new members from joining. When looking around for a site to help them lose weight or get fit, what is the *average* person looking for? They're looking for something for easy. The name DailyBurn implies a lot of effort is required to achieve results. That may be completely true, but it has the potential to scare off anyone but hardcore fitness buffs. I'm not criticizing the name. I like it, but from a marketing perspective (which is my background), it might not be the wisest choice. My workout partner uses a BlackBerry and he would love to be able to use Gyminee… oops, I mean DailyBurn… on his phone. I think part of the appeal of the nutrition/fitness tracking is being able to enter something right then and there by mobile phone rather than having to go to a computer to do it. DailyBurn could really attract a lot of loyal users if it was the first fitness site to have apps on all the major mobile platforms: iPhone, BlackBerry, Android (G1), and possibly even Windows Mobile.
