Atomic Toasters : What Ever Became of...Linoleum

My current home came with the entire 1st floor covered in ugly sheet vinyl. The previous owner put Pergo (ugh!) in the living room. We put cork in the kitchen/dining room. <img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-rpB-ylAAaPU/UWIe1oaCTVI/AAAAAAAAA5g/LzvDZ6t0AsE/w1084-h813-no/IMG_20130407_213442.jpg", width=640> <img src="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-d4fmrKC5LNc/UWIevbrYHmI/AAAAAAAAA5U/F2WNVQ2LXA0/w610-h813-no/IMG_20130407_213416.jpg", width=640> This was my 1st attempt at laying flooring. After living with it for almost a year, I love it, but realize where I insufficiently prepped the existing floor/slab. There are a few small spots that slab is too low and the floating floor is not resting on it. Makes a slight noise when stepping there.

Atomic Toasters : User Input: It's Getting Colder

Give the money to SpaceX. Musk could fast-track the crew carrying version of their Dragon. SpaceX's unmanned Dragon has already successfully docked with the ISS on multiple occasions. Let's put the money towards proven technology if we are in a race.

Atomic Toasters : Shutdown: Better for Your Rubik's

I didn't know there was another way to solve it! When moving my Grandmother-in-Law from MN to OH, I found an original in box Rubiks Cube in her apartment. I was mesmerized. After her passing, her family found it in the garage full of boxes and gave it to me. I cherish it, the memories it provides me and proudly display it on a bookshelf with other assorted artwork.

Atomic Toasters : What Ever Became of..Portable Dishwashers

The Mrs. and I had one in our home in Toledo, as did our best friends. Moved it down to KY and into storage since our then apartment and now house has a permanent dishwasher. Que six months ago, our best friends portable took a dump. I loaded ours, still languishing in a storage unit, and hauled it up to my BFF as a replacement. TLDR: I know two families with portable dishwashers.

Atomic Toasters : How Things Change

I cut the cord over 5 years ago. Haven't looked back. And I don't subscribe to Netflix streaming or Hulu+. I do get the discs shipped from Netflix or occasionally rent from iTunes. However, be ready to be out of the loop at the water cooler in the mornings. No TrueBlood, Game of Thrones, Walking Dead or other popular show du jour. Unless your buying it from an online source of your choosing, which kind of defeats the purpose of cutting cable.

Atomic Toasters : User Input: Holiday Chaos

I'm in construction. Between hunting season, weather and the holidays it's a wonder anything gets done between Thanksgiving and New Years. However, there's always some idiot owner/architect that decides this would be the BEST time of the year to bid a project, so construction can start first of the year. So I'm inevitably stuck at work bidding the damn thing, only for the price to come in over budget because my suppliers/subcontractors are hunting, cold or away for the holidays. Then the owner decides to re-bid it after the new year in hopes of better pricing, which is what I suggested in the first place. And construction doesn't start until the spring thaw. /rant

I too am a <strike>shameful</strike> proud owner of the Christmas Pickle. Our tree is up but not yet decorated. We too have a young (6 mo.) kitten in the house. She's already climbed the small Ash tree in the back yard (<10') and it's only a matter of time before she is comfortable around the X-mas tree enough to climb it. <img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-Xvtw2qKO3yI/UmRAX0Xz7YI/AAAAAAAAEC4/p0lzvi5DhJE/w610-h813-no/IMG_20131020_162624-MOTION.gif">

Atomic Toasters : User Input: Horrible Excess

I have an extreme dislike for the inflatable yard ornaments, and I fear my In-Laws are trying to woo the Mrs. to the dark side. Last year they gifted us a lighted christmas pig that the Mrs. insists I install on the roof in an effort to prevent theft. <img src="http://www.fatwallet.com/static/attachments/thumbnails/146254.jpg">

My bling. Index finger - $13 ring bought at Pacific Sunwear back in my early 20's. Also doubles as bottle opener Ring finger - Ring from Tiffany & Co. from their Atlas Series. Bought at Tiffany & Co in Cincinnati utilizing the Mrs. discount. Bracelet - made by the Mrs. about 10 years ago for me. I cherish it dearly, almost lost it and she now she has to repair it monthly. But I refuse to let her modify it to make it stronger. I requested she make me a new one to replace my current one. <img src="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/f6oNZRflipky_Y-1m_jwcF4cHHoaWncyISfitQPDy_k=w1084-h813-no", width=500>
