Nope, private hospitals can be just as faulty. It isn't the system private or public it is the people who run the system. In other words private hospitals can screw just as well as VA hospitals.

If the tea party has its way "Tear It Down" will be a reality... And vets think things were bad under Bush. Ain't seen nothing yet.. And yes I read VA Watchdog everyday and have links in my signatures for folks to come here at different message boards, and at one board I admin at. Bottom line is this the tea party is on the move to kill programs that they deem unconstitutional. VA benefits is one of them. So, go vote tea party and see the shit hit the fan.. If the tea party get control of Congress this will be reality. As well as VA Comp, SSA, Medicare being eliminated to save 4 trillion dollars. Watching the many campaigns in the election cycle just keeps pointing to this reality by the tea party. Beware.

I am guessing you missed this part of the article??? "Shanna lost her insurance and now forgoes the monthly $500 prescription to treat her Lyme disease. " Because health reform is not in effect yet. She is forging her prescriptions. How is health reform at fault here??? Private insurance is a joke and without health reform-health care in the private sector would be worse. With the VHA screwing up is a matter of "turning the ship around". You can't change 8 years of bad policy overnight. Even God made the Earth in 7 days with more power than Obama has. Bush took 8 years to screw us vets over,. It will take that amount of time to fix things. And if the tea party has their way vets won't even have VA benefits or SSA as the tea party says it is unconstitutional. Thanks to the GOP having control of the government for 8/6 years is why vets are dying. Don't blame Obama for this mess, he wasn't President back in 2000. Put the blame where it belongs.
