I started reading Kings Gunslinger series because the first book in the series was some of his earlier work and was quite good. By the time I arrived at the sixth in the series " The Song of Susanah" I was so thouroughly disgusted with the mans pedantic pedophilia, purile prose and personal politics, I could not even bring myself to buy the final climactic novel in the series from a second hand bookstore. "The Dark Tower" is dead to me.

Camo, I once had access to that "quality" VA/military health care. They told me that my foot could not possibly be broken since I had managed to walk into sick call. I wound up running 3 miles on a broken foot the next day for our semi annual Physical Fitneess Test (PFT). I went to a civilian (emergency) faciliity the next day and the x-ray showed it was broken. Oh well, the doctors get paid the same in socialized medicine regardless of how well they do, how many patients they see, or how many permanent disabities/deaths they cause. Ram, I do love "The World" or the "land of the big PX" ie..."The USA". The Laser has 1/2 the power and has cost twice as much as originally projected. Welcome to governmental reality. The government threw immensely expensive Engineering skill dollars at solving the convexity/concavity of atmospheric light distortion. I hope they do not give that away for free -a la Clinton. If an HOA has draconian rules we have the consumers choice of avoiding that subdivision. We sign certain covenants which within the rules of common sense should be fine unless interpreted idiotically by nitwits (ostentatious displays- what does that mean). If they add something like this flagpole provision after we have moved in we must fight. I venture to say in this case that the responsible nitwits will soon be raplaced on the vaunted council.
