Big Peace : Years Later, Condi Rice Finally Makes Impassioned Defense of Iraq War Decision

First, I don't care that it didn't happen six years ago. Anyone following the thread that Former Secretary of State Rice so skillfully laid out in this interview knew the facts she stated as they happened. They are also readily available to anyone who cares to read rather than blather on carelessly. Second, it's clear that O'Donnel had an agenda in the interview, which actually served Ms. Rice's goals well. All the simply incredulous claims that invading Iraq and ousting Hussein was a "mistake" at least serve to identify those who cannot be bothered by reality when it conflicts with some thought they have. I believe the Bush administration went to extraordinary lengths to explain their reasons behind the war, and have since answered every single question regarding its necessity from the truly intellectually curious, as well as the intellectually bankrupt. What we never, ever hear from those who believe it was wrong are indictments made with equal passion - if at all - against Hussein's horrendously murderous regime. That would require actual analysis, which those who wade only their mind's shallow waters are too frightened to do.

Breitbart.tv : 'This is My Wife': Doctor's Horror As He Discovers Identity of Critically Injured Patient

A pen - Man, John's point is good. We can't just immerse ourselves in a 24/7 analysis of political news. That's living in a vacuum, and it takes no time at all for perspectives to become distorted. Life happens. It's good to notice it while we're part of it.

Breitbart.com : Swing sets removed at some W.Va. schools

The decision was reversed, and all swingsets are now staying put. There is a rule on the books in WV that REQUIRES all Elementary schools to provide a swingset on the grounds. Now, they have to find money to make it "litigious parents" proof. Here's the rub - the school in question had to settle not one, but TWO lawsuits from the same parent(s). Not only did they sue over their son breaking his arm, another child fell off the monkey bars and fractured their nose, which also resulted in the parent(s) suing and getting some cash. Here's a link to the story: http://www.wsaz.com/news/headlines/101937383.html Personally? I wish we could put the photo of the parent(s) on a billboard here in WV, along with the amount they "won", then hold a photo caption contest to raise money for the new safety stuff the school now has to buy.

Big Hollywood : Stars Come Out for Saturday's Jerry Brown Fundraiser Hosted By Hamas-Supporting Code Pinkster Jodie

Everyone... I have posted a few things around here from time to time, but mostly, I just read what y'all write. I really, really enjoy the wit, the wisdom, the patriotism, and the passion that you bring to the issues. You have no idea how many times you have made me laugh, pump my fist in the air, nearly cry, and repeat what you've said to others throughout my day. Thank you, everyone, here at Brietbart. You folks are the best, and you restore my faith in humanity. Rallying here behind Debbie Lee (a hero if ever there was one, and her extraordinary son, my God, thank you both), your voices -and your votes - are what will ultimately stifle the enemies of freedom. It is an honor to read your thoughts.

Breitbart.tv : New Black Panther Leader Shabazz on Whether He Supports Killing White Babies: 'Not in That Context'

Shabazz's Black Panthers are exactly what they claim to loathe. We've seen this all before, and we'll see it all again. Shock speech and TV camera muscles are the opiates of the vapid. The Klan, the Nation of Islam, the Aryan Brotherhood, the Black Panthers, all are the left hand to the other's right, and on and on and on it goes. The best most of them can hope for, sadly, is their perp walk making primetime, and to be feared in whatever cellblock they ultimately call home. It's tragic, in the true sense of the word, that such vitriolic rhetoric continues to be used to make political (really, very personal) gain. None of it has to be. Neither Lincoln nor King had any of this in mind.

Let's try again..... First, Happy 4th of July to all, wierd one though it is. On this 4th of July, I am celebrating our independence from tyrranny by trying to understand why we are all suddenly being forced onto the train to Socialism City. It's a scary time, ladies and gents. Very. I never thought I would see this in my lifetime. I picked up a copy of Dick Morris' latest book, "Catastrophe" day before yesterday, and I can't recommend it to everyone enough. Not only does he make the case, he also offers people things they can do, both now and in the future, to derail the devastatingly crippling Obama Agenda. Last, again, Happy INdependence Day, and thanks to all of our military for making it possible. Let's make sure they didn't sacrifice everything in vain.

Happy 4th of July everyone...and what a strange one it is. Never did I imagine that in my lifetime, I would see our country being loaded on the trains for Socialism City. Never. I picked up a copy of Dick Morris' latest book, "Catastrophe" day before yesterday, and I can't recommend it enough. There, he actually spells out courses of action we can take, and take now, to begin derailing Obama's agenda. I for one know I need to get off my ass, and actually do these things, rather than sit back and just hope for things to right themselves. Salute the flag today, all.

Big Hollywood : Open Thread: 'Angels and Demons'

The only complaint I have, after the angel dust settles, is that it lacks originality on every level. Look, I don't care if writers, producers, etc., go after organizations, religions, or individuals who have screwed up in some way. What I have a problem with is easy (and endless) potshots at say, the Catholic Church, the Amish, Mormons, et al. It's all so disappointing. Where's the creativity? To paraphrase Christopher Hitchens in his assessment of Bill Maher's endless George Bush jokes, these are the kinds of films that stupid people make. They are intellectually lazy, in their best light.

Yeah, Rome did look awesome indeed. And I personally thought Hanks' ties were well-chosen, and the sound was first-rate. After that........ Dan Brown tried to explain that "The DaVinci Code" was "just fiction", and shouldn't have been taken as an insult after he caught hell (so to speak) long before Howard/Hanks got their unoriginal hands on that one. It's become so fashionable to demonize the Catholic Church and by extension Christianity that one is left wondering when such purveyors of "truth" will finally get bored with the words coming out of their own mouths. God knows I am.
