Exactly. No correlation whatsoever between lockdown severity and C19 deaths. This is the biggest public policy error since Sadaam's non existent WMD - which was pushed by the same corrupt caste of unaccountable advisors.

Mr Jenkin, you have no intellectual basis for that statement whatsoever. Sweden's death curve has tracked ours almost exactly. A scientific consensus is emerging that collective immunity has in fact already been reached, around mid July, which is the reason that deaths are statistically zero despite rising cases.

The virus has burnt itself out as all viruses do. The idea that a piece of cotton loosely dragged over you mouth, or drinkng from 7-10pm rather than 8-11pm has made any difference is the greatest delusion since Canute tried to hold back the tide.

It was always a delusional idea. Inside-the-bubble insanity. I and many others said so at the time.

Sooner or later they'd have to face the people, and then there'd be a reckoning. Maybe Blair in his pomp could have carried it off, but Letwin?

Dear Mr Amin

My daughter attends a London school which is rated "outstanding" by Ofsted. Girls only. There are days when she is afraid to go in because "the nasty girls bully me and call me an S-L-U-T because I dont wear the hijab". And then artfuly play the race card when the teachers try and do something about it

So let me spell this out for you - there is a big prolem with the integration of Muslms into British society. And we will discuss it. That's democracy. If you dont like it feel free to resign your party membership and vote for something else

And BTW I am half arab

The EU is not our main trading partner as it is not a nation. 40% of our exports is pathetic for 27 countries combined, on our doorstep, with whom weve been in political union for almost half a century. 60% of Russias trade is with Europe and I dont see much "alignment" coming from Mr Putin

Our single largest export market is the US, by some margin.

Oh theyre aware of it alright - they just dont want it. CCHQ have been trying to divorce the membership for years. A mass membership grass roots political party is an obstacle for them

What on earth does politically achievable mean?

We voted to leave the EU and that means the SM the CU and the ECJ. If parliament doesnt want to deliver our decision then we will hold them accountable for that, but we are not going along with the charade of Brexit in name only.

What is not politically achievable is to continue this fraud on the voting public.

You misunderstand the constitutional situation

Parliament cannot block a no deal. The "meaningful vote " stuff is all bluster as a HofC resolution is non binding. No seal is a consequence of article 50

We leave with no deal on Oct 31 unless the PM requests a further extension. Parliament cannot make that request on behalf of the PM

No, I dont think so. I think she knows her parliamentary conservative party. A bunch of chinless spineless wonders wholl always take the easy option. The majority of them didnt vote for Brexit and wish it would just go away.
