Senior citizens aren't cared for properly and most think their "quality of life" is null and void. So now we're going after innocent children? Tell me this Elliot. If life starts at birth, then why if a pregnant woman is murdered, the criminal is charged with TWO murders? This baffles me. So the mother can choose to kill her child, and she's applauded for using her RIGHT. But it's not a baby, but if she's murdered, then the "fetus" magically becomes a baby? GIVE ME A BREAK!!!!!!!!!!!
I must say that reading Elliott's post has made me angry and extremely disappointed. How dare you say that a saving a baby who has a severe deformity or paralysis wouldn't do anyone any favors. Who are you? Hitler? That type of thought process makes me sick to my stomach. Who the hell are you to say that because someone is not "perfect" in their physical state, that they do not deserve life? If that's the kind of thinking you support, and sadly to say your Democrat leaders agree with you, what's next? Blonde hair? Blue eyes? Hairy arms? I'm sure your thinking me listing characteristics such as these is absurd, but how far fetched is it really?
Oh p.s., Elliot, why in the world should, I, my mother, sister, friends, and extended family, as well as the neighbors in my community pay for your school loans? Are you kidding me? The government paying? No, that's me paying for you. That's absurd. The government isn't going to pay for my car loan, or my mortgage. Why should they pay, my mistake, why should I pay for you? This is the kind of thing Obama wants the youth to think. Hey, stay lazy youth that depend on a parental (government) figure to take care of you? TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF. I just don't understand why this concept is so hard to understand? Go to school, make great grades, apply yourself, and get the job that will have you pay off your own loans. What you're talking about is socialism Elliot, and that's not what America was built on. Come on kid.
I just love the hypocrisy of the Democrats this year. They just delighted in raking Bush over the coals, for any and every little thing he did. Obama, in my opinion has no business being president. He has NO experience in.........anything. He's never even drawn up a piece of legislation, NOTHING. Yet, people wanted to rake Sarah Palin over the coals as well? She had WAY more experience, and I kind of admired John McCain for choosing her. People can say what they want, but you know the Democrats didn't even know what to think and/or do when they heard that on CNN. :)
I believe I'm going to go into political science and broadcast journalism. My goal is to be informative, real, openminded, and to not be afraid to be bad mouthed on CNN.
Just to clear up, I am a female, :). But in answer to Elliot's post, I can understant where he is coming from, but this is the "force fed" media propaganda I'm talking about. So many of my friends when deciding who to vote for, the common #1 answer was, "I'm not voting for Bush Jr". Give me a break. These are many of the same kids that would still give Britney Spears or Kobe Bryant the benefit of the doubt after their incredible blunders. Their only scratching the surface.
Not bothering to divulge into whats really being said, or in Obama's case, lack thereof. This "messiah" is the same man that when my generation is in Washington, we will still be paying off this deficit that will add 1 trillion dollars in interest per year alone. Instead of bailing out business', we should have let them fail. New companies will arise. Why should I pay because you took advantage of me and my fellow people?
America was built on making YOURSELF better, not relying on someone else who has worked hard and diligently, and who went to school to make $100,000 a year in salary. Because they EARNED it!!!! So now, Democrats, who are always telling you, "Help those less fortunate", and as soon as you become something, they want to chastise you for it. Are you kidding me? This is AMERICA, you get what you earn, and what you work for. I'm not going to stand with my hand open for any CEO to give me a hand out. Why should they? And why would I not want to better myself, so that I can have a $100,000 salary, and not just twiddle my thumbs and say "Woe is me", and let my "president" take from the "rich" and give to the "poor". This isn't Walt Disney's "Robin Hood".....I feel I've rambled :)

Most importantly, it saddens me to think that most of the people in my age bracket, who were force fed media propaganda, have no idea what he's all about. The media, MTV, CNN, etc., have built him up to such a high stature. Is this man my president or the hottest new rock star? It was disgusting to watch these kids literally drool over him. Now, if they really dived into his policies, beliefs, and thoughts, they would see that this is socialism in its highest form. You can sugarcoat it and call it what you like, but wealth distribution; SOCIALISM!!!
It's very disappointing to see the "leader" of my country in only the first three months of being in office, completely devastating our debt. Trillions of dollars? Are you kidding me? But, it's all Bush's fault, right? Give me a break. At 21, it baffles me, that all of these people who voted for the "messiah" have no idea what he's about to do. I mean, it's as if he can do no wrong. People aren't looking at how deep this "budget" is going to bury us, our children, and their children. I've never seen a "president" so arrogant, and who talks so much, but never really says ANYTHING. It's all filler words. There's never really an answer.
AIG, should I even dive into that mess? When he was a senator, he received over $100,000 from AIG. Is he going to be taxed 90%? Is he going to give it back? I think not. He wants to now, after its been days, shake his finger at AIG as if they are naughty children. GIVE ME A BREAK BARACK!
