GrassrootsPA : Corbett campaign literature at AG's county fair booth...

Definitely a dirty trick. Seeing the vast majority of the AG's employees are civil servants who have been there longer than Corbett, they are probably less likely to engage in political hackery. From talking to a few friends that are interning there, they have sent out several emails warning employees not to engage in political business through their government accounts or on government time even if its an unpaid lunch.

GrassrootsPA : Congressional candidate: American foreign policy to blame for 9/11...

You are correct in being suspicious of potential infiltrators of the tea party movement. New and fluid movements are very easily infiltrated by your opponents, and more disturbingly, radical groups on the fringes of American politics and culture. The latter might be the case here.

The media simply does not get it. If they were more through in reporting these stories, people would buy papers. Look at what the Europeans publish. They publish the slime of society people want to read and they are openly partisan. The American media is full of themselves and does not realize what real journalism looks like.

I thought cheap drugs ($5 a pack heroin) would lead to less crime according to the anti-drug war gospel spread by some on this site. Since $5 dollar a pack heroin has hit the streets of Greene and Fayette counties crime has exploded. The thing is that the pro-legalization crowd refuses to acknowledge that drugs prevent people from holding jobs and forces them into lives of government dependence and crime.

Murder is what one of my professor's would refer to as a Kindergarten crime. Basically kindergarten crimes are crimes that everyone in Kindergarten knows are wrong such as murder, assault and theft. This kid was 11 years old when he committed this act. He knew killing someone was wrong and did it anyway. As you described above Ray, I think its far more justifiable to let a 11 year old off if its a heat of passion killing. This was not a heat of passion killing to say the least. This disturbed soul walked into bedroom where a woman was sleeping unaware of what was going on, placed a gun to her and shot her dead. Then he concealed the evidence of the crime. If that does not sound like premeditation, I really do not know what is premeditation.

Correct. 40,000 abandoned buildings is actually relatively small when you consider the number of people the city has lost over the last 5 decades. Detroit's abandoned building problem is more accute because the city has lost more people and its housing stock typically sits on individual lots where as the housing in Philadelphia is primarily row houses that easily can be incorporated into neighboring row houses. The ease of incorporating one row house into another has prevented Detroit style problems in Philadelphia.

The district legislative offices are a symptom of the nanny state. Moronic individuals are forced to go to an office designed to appease morons to get their moronic benefits that they can easily obtain on their own if they were not so moronic. There is no need for these offices beyond propping up the nanny state.

Some people are born inherently evil. Even an 11 year old knows not to place a gun to a person's back when they are laying down and shoot them. It takes a real depraved and arguably irreparable mind to pull off such a disturbing act. The fact the 11 year old has not shown remorse is telling of the truly depraved nature of his mind and how it cannot be repaired.
