Speed:Sport:Life : Avoidable Contact #30: Prius is very iPad! Prius is real luxury! HS250h is more like a Sears Tele-Ga

Your absolutely correct Jack! And apparently I'm one of the least cool people in the world! I work out, eat red meat, use Opera over FireFox, own a $499 Toshiba laptop that is more than twice as powerful than the iPad, use Windows 7 by choice, use a crappy MS Zune(I got it for free) which I'll be replacing with a Creative Zen X-Fi2, drink brewed sweet tea over herbal green tea, drive a crappy S10 that will be replaced with a used 2002+ Jaguar XJR(hopefully within the next 3 years), and I don't have any plans to change.

Speed:Sport:Life : 2011 Audi A8 Revealed at Design Miami 2009

I really really want to like it, but it just looks so mismatched. I like the headlights, just not on the A8; I like the fenders, just not on the A8; I like the grille, just not on the A8. It's like everything is slightly off. Even if they nailed it in standard Audi styling fashion, I'm not sure that it would look as good as the stately 7 Series or the swooping S-Class. The fact that they seemingly dropped the ball with this confused design, though, just hurts it more. @Byrone: Too conservatively styled? Maybe in the automotive world as a whole, but this is a very risky, cutting edge design for Audi! lol

Quite the article, as usual, Rob! Now THIS is the poor mans racing that I've been looking for! Autocross can only be so fun, what with running one car at a time. Now all we need is Pro Solo RallyCross, then we'll be talking!!!

Speed:Sport:Life : SEMA 2009 General Motors Gallery - Camaro Extravaganza

UGH. SO SICK of the new Camaro. Thanks for ruining it, GM, by flaunting your concept car around for like 5 years. I couldn't own a new Camaro, no matter how good it may be, simply because I couldn't look at it sitting in my driveway every day. Now the '10 Mustang on the other hand looks very fresh, slender, and athletic.

Speed:Sport:Life : Racer Boy: 24 Hours of LeMons or Endurace Racing for the Financially and Mentally Challenged

You know, it just so happens that I should be getting a new vehicle within the next couple weeks(Jeep Cherokee to long arm, 35, and wheel the crap out of!), so I might just have to scrape some cash together to hit up some LeMons in my(hopefully) freshly replaced vehicle! Granted, it IS a Geo TRAHKAH, but their can't possibly be a cooler vehicle to run in LeMons either! Get some lo-pro tires, maybe hack 3 or so coils out of the springs, and hope for the best!!! I will do this before I die!!!

Speed:Sport:Life : A Tale of Two Race Cars...

Loved it!!! Great writing, epic amounts of drama that ALMS could never posess, and, best of all, it's about cars! Each time Jack has mentioned something about the Neon in his articles, I was always waiting for that little bit more of depth in the story, and now I'm finally getting it! Can't wait for more!

Speed:Sport:Life : Racer Boy: Slot Car Racing, or How to Race Door to Door Without Worrying about Your Doors

Alright, I'm calling it, this doesn't count!!! If there isn't a potential* to lay some strips of tire on the ground(or atleast dig some ditches in the dirt), then I'm claiming it doesn't count. *I know, your Grandma's 1.8l Cadillac Cimarron can't really spin the tires, but you should be driving a vehicle that can in the first place. Thus, potential. That being said, I may just have to get into some slot car racing...

Speed:Sport:Life : Switzer P800 GT2: Enter the dragon.

Hell of a write up, and HELL of a car!!! Reading the numbers you mentioned near the start, I was thinking "hmm, seems to be a little exagerated". Then I rememered the numbers of a stock GT2: numbers like 0-60 in 3.3, the 1/4 in 11.3@127MPH, 0-100 in 7.3, all from a comparatively pansy ass 530HP! Simply put, an amazing car in stock form, and evidentally an extraordinarily amazing car in Switzer form!!! Major props to Tym and the rest of the Switzer crew for not only putting together a monster, but putting together a monster that can be lived with on a daily basis without trying to puke fluids or threaten the occupants lives!

Speed:Sport:Life : Ford SVT Raptor - Born in Baja Premiere

Yes! I believe that it's a bit mroe than the last gen lightning. Some of the guys "in the know"(the dude that runs 'raptoroffroad.com', he revealed that the shelby would be making 500HP about 6 months before the concept mad its show appearance) were asking about the tow rating, and the ford people said it would definatly be enough to haul a ford GT on a trailor(rich bastards). Basically, this truck is being groomed to be the 'jack of all trades' for work and play!

Speed:Sport:Life : Speed Read: Challenger is Challenging

Tip: Do not look at original Challenger + new Challenger pics side by side or you won't be able to look at the new one again. The coolest thing about the original Challenger was how low and wide it was, but for some ungodly reason, the designer of the new Challenger decided to take the classic car and narrow and raise it. And i don't see how anyone in their right mind would take any model Challenger over the Mustang or new Camaro. I'm really not a fan of the new 'maro, but it's just better than the Challenger in every single way, besides looks(damn thing is hideous!!!).

Speed:Sport:Life : Racer Boy: Autocrossing 101, or How to Kill Cones

Nice article! I can't wait for more of these, just to compare the merits of the different types of racing. I'm sure bracket racing will be about the same as autocross in most of the ratings(unless you drive a manual, definite clutch wear), but i can't see anything else beating these two in the cost category.
