The student are not "required" to sign up for anything. They are given the option if they don't already have health care. It is a service that Georgetown and other colleges provide. I will suspect that all that will happen if they are forced to cover birth control is that they will just drop the coverage all together and make the students find their own health care for a lot more money. A Catholic college is NOT a different entity than the Catholic church, they are still presided over by a priest and a president. Have you ever been to a Gonzaga game? They travel with a priest who prays for them before the game. The Pope is still the top of even the university heirarchy. So maybe YOU shoud do some research! You most certainly are using the weight of government to force the Catholics to do what YOU want them to. That is what the Taliban did! You my friend are much more Taliban than anything the Catholics are doing. Also, if they don't like it nobody is forcing them to go to this PRIVATE Catholic university, go to a state college or other private universities that carry birth control if having sex is more important than your education!

Of course there are insurance companies who try and get out of their contracts, but we don't need a new law for this and this is not what she is trying to get accomplished. It is already illegal and has been forever to breach contracts. What you are trying to do is force your morals onto the Catholics and make them cover contraceptives that their beliefs are against. They already cover it for medical reasons, that point is mute and since Fluke has not shown where this so called not covering for medical reasons is, I suspect it isn't happening. The real problems are that we are in debt because we are giving all our money to the old people and the poor. SS and Medicare are eating us alive, as are public schools. I hate to tell you this but the problems are what are making our nation go poor. Take care of your own parents and children and I will take care of mine!
