This is not a violation of the first amendment. The constitution was not written to exclude God. For too long a micro-minority has succeeded in taking God out of schools and you can see the absolute mess that schools have become without God. And yes, the United States was founded as a Christian nation with Christian principles. Abandoning these principles has taken its toll on the country and God is apparently removing His Blessing from us.

Well Elaine, why don't you and your dog owning buddies get over to the dog park and pull some weeds yourself? This doggie park benefits those that own dogs and should be taken care of on a voluntary basis. Post flyers at the site announcing the clean up day or days, establish clean up committees for keeping the facility clean. In other words, take this on as a voluntary project. I'm sure the city would benefit from your help and the help of others. In these times of budget austerity it is imperative that the beneficiaries of projects like your doggie park could assume the responsibility for maintaining and improving the equipments used by your dogs.

If you don't like coal and oil don't use them. Quit driving your car, turn off your furnace, don't use our electricity, don't buy products manufactured in the United States or in other words, go completely off the grid but leave the rest of us alone. I like coal and oil, especially for what they provide for me. A robust economy, jobs, energy saving appliances, transportation. I always enjoy staying in vacation rentals in Arizona and Texas and one can escape the onerous tax by renting for a full month. With some local taxes reaching the 18% territory this can be an inducement to rent for a month even when staying for only two or three weeks. Do the math. Municipalities will do all in their power to suck up every penny they can from the tourist. Disgusting!!
