Running with the Pack Podcast : Running with the Pack 82: Vacation Plans, Body Image, Cross Training, and Much More

Stevie, hope you have fun! It has been so hot down here (I am just about 2 hours south of the OBX) that I have been forced to run on the dreaded treadmill. Great Podcast this week, enjoyed the part about the person doing the race oh natural but I have to admit I am not sure I have the courage to do that! Good luck Alan on all your upcoming races, my next is the Marine Corps Half in September (another local race). Thanks for all the time you two put into this podcast!
Running with the Pack Podcast : Running with the Pack 73: Stress, Mountainback, Stevie's New PR, and Biking Adventures

Allan/Stevie, Great show! I have used a Camelbak for a few years especially when I was stationed in the deep south (very hot summers). I have tried both on the back and around the waist and I prefer the on the back model. It does get a little hot for me at first and tends to pull the back of my shirt up for the first few minutes until I start sweating after that it is fine. I can't stand to carry water bottles, even tried the bottles with the strap on them with no luck. I have never tried the belt with the little bottles. I have really enjoyed the stress control that running offers! I often think of my morning runs as my own personal staff meeting. I can't tell you how many times I have been running and the answer to some issue I can't figure out just comes to me. Thanks for keeping these podcast's coming! I have a half coming up on May 15th "Run for the Warriors" here in Jacksonville NC and hoping for a PR !

Running with the Pack Podcast : Running with the Pack 70: Trio of Triathlons, THON, Bilateral Breathing, and More...

Great Podcast this week! Listened while I drove home and loved the part about the "Afterglowy" I think that is a perfect word for it! I don't know when I get the "Runner's high" but do have that part in some of my runs where it just all clicks and I feel like superman. Some other runs, not so much. I also liked the part about the Body Glide, that stuff is great! I not only wear it on all the usual parts but also where my Polar strap goes across my chest, that thing can tear you up if you are not careful. Quick funny note on my Vibrams, as you might have guessed from Running Sailor name I am in the Military and I do PT with my troops who have taken to calling my Vibrams my Ninja Turtle shoes!

Running with the Pack Podcast : Running with the Pack 68: Running Club Meeting, Runners Like Us, Big or Small Marathon, and Action W

Vibrams came in the mail today (little hard to find them here in Jax North Carolina)! Is it just me or does anyone else feel like a clumsy three year old trying to put these things on?! I finally got them on (guess I might be smarter than your average three year old) but is it always that difficult or do you just get better at it as you go along? I got the KSO's and I will let you know if I am able to use my Polar foot pod with them (yeah I'm a running geek). Scott

Once again I really enjoyed the podcast! It's great to drive home listening to you guys. You mentioned a little about the Triathlon and I have been interested for awhile about doing one. Now I have not totally lost my mind and think I can do the Iron Man but I have heard of some smaller races I think they call them Tin Man. Just wanted to get your thoughts on smaller Triathlons and any suggestions as to training programs. Thanks and have a great week! Scott

Running with the Pack Podcast : Running with the Pack 67: Vibrams, "Loving" Running, Vegas, and Triathlon Lust

I just found your podcast this week and I am really enjoying listening to you two. I have been a mid-pack runner for years now so it is nice to hear you say something and think yeah I know what they mean! I have run the Disney full twice and Rock n Roll San Diego full once. I have stuck with Half's for the last few years just because of the amount of time you have to give to Marathon long runs. I am very interested in Vibrams so thanks for talking about them and I have two questions for you if you don't mind: 1. I am a running geek (have used Garmen GPS for awhile and just switched to Polar foot pod) and I am wondering if you have the Vibrams with the strap, if so do you think a foot pod would work on them? 2. I noticed a few styles of them on the REI site, what style did you guys go with? Thanks and keep the podcasts going! Scott
