I saw Raffi in concert when I was about 4 or 5 years old, and I don't think I've ever been as excited about a concert EVER AGAIN.

I saw Cat Power in college, and she got everyone standing in this crowded little venue to all sit down on the floor instead, so we could all see. That was pretty awesome.

Come to think of it, my two favorite concert memories include sitting cross-legged on the floor in a large friendly circle, singing along with the rest of the crowd.

I also saw Wango Tango...more times than I should have. I would replace this with more cross-legged floor sitting concerts if I could.

It's a bit expensive, but I bought a fitbit through Groupon and it's essentially gotten rid of this problem, at least for me.

I love that it tracks all of your movement, because it turns my whole day into exercise. I get to "count" everything, not just 30 minutes at the gym. It also recognises and rewards tiny things, like listening to the radio while walking around my apartment instead of sitting down with TV the minute I get home.

This is a thing that works for me and may not work for others, but it has taken so much stress and guilt out of my life surrounding the whole concept of working out.

I don't know that I can properly answer this, but my go-to show to watch when anxious/upset is Frasier, because the stakes are never all that high (we need to been seen attending this opera! but its sold out!) and nothing really bad happens on Fraiser.

Buffy is the background soundtrack of my life. It's what I put on whenever folding laundry, making an empty house noisey, etc, because I can just dip in and out at this point. I see all the flaws, but still.

Toasties, I am having feels. I know I need to look for a new job, because mine (3 years in) is stagnant and does not have growth options and includes standing in the sun for 3-5 hours every day.

BUT, I have also been in underchallenged for so long that I worry I'm rusty ( and secretly worry I'm lazy and terrible) and this has me scared to leave said job for one that might actually be challenging and expecting of results.

I dithered on one job app recently for 3 weeks, to the point that it's probably too late to apply. And I think about going back to school a lot but it's all expensive and I'm not sure what to study. Not a ton of jobs in my field and nebulously want to switch fields, but feel I am trained for nothing ( BA in English).

Anyway, more of a rant than anything, but I feel stuck and clueless toward next steps.

Not exactly on topic, but speaking of PCHH and other awesomeness, I downloaded Stitcher a couple months ago and it is AMAZING.

Now my entire commute is spent listening to A Way With Words (the etymological call in show!), Splendid Table, and similar and I actually never ever get bored in traffic anymore. It is life changingly lovely.

I went on a cruise years ago with my then boyfriend and his family. There is food coming out the walls on a cruise ship, including room service options. The only time I had to interact with strangers much was the two official sit down meals we attended, where there were assigned seats. Had we attended more of our meals in the ship's dining hall, we would have been seated next to the same people every single time and forced to make more awkward small talk.

As it was, I mostly just had to make awkward small talk with his mother and sister. His dad, awkwardly, did not talk. But that is all a different story for a different time.

All on ship social activities were optional, and I'm pretty sure you could spend a whole cruise without too much unwilling interaction with anyone.

See, I love Griffith Park Observatory for that dirty historical glam feel. The Getty is beautiful, but it doesn't properly feel of any time or place in history.
