Big Hollywood : Why Masculinity Matters: 59-Year-Old Liam Neeson Is Action's Most Bankable Star

I like Liam Neeson and I like adventure movies, so going to see The Grey seemed like a fine idea. It wasn't! Everything about the movie was "grey." It was a depressing, slow romp into despair. As we left the theater, the crowd was quiet and reflective and grey.

Loved me some Rockford Files! His hopes of getting his head above water financially were always dashed, but he never gave up, and no matter how many times Angel stabbed him in the back, he always gave him another chance.

Stopped watching it years ago for all the reasons previously listed. D'Onofrio's mannerisms as the Goren character wore thin quickly.

Big Hollywood : Top 5: If You Were a TCM Guest Programmer

I like a lot of the movies already mentioned, and I also like Anne of Green Gables (the Megan Follows version.) I cry every time I watch it. Richard Farnsworth and Colleen Dewhurst were excellent in it. It may be sentimental drival to some, but it's good, well-acted, wholesome fare to me.

Big Hollywood : 'Monk': The Show That Started a Brighter Television Trend Returns

I, too, am a Rockford Files fan. I think it's the whole "misunderstood" hero thing that appeals to us. The audience does understand the hero, so we can relate to his cares, sorrows, laughter and foibles. We root for him to succeed, but aren't surprised when he doesn't.____Monk and Natalie aren't going to get together romantically. He's like her Dutch uncle.

My dad was a great whistler and a great story teller. Whenever I watch The Bridge On the River Kwai I'm sitting on the front porch of our home listening to his army stories or reminded of him whistling the theme song. Great memories of a great man!
