I'm a non combat Navy vet. "According to the FBI, Barnes was not a combat soldier...".

PTSD is not an excuse or a reason in this case. This guy was nuts from the day he took his first breath.

It's goof balls like this that give legal gun owners and, in some circles, upstanding veterans a bad name.

There's no cure, nor is there an excuse for crazy.

We should be marching against the health industry including the doctors, lawyers and the insurance industry.

There is no logical reason whatsoever that any kind of treatment should cost that much let alone a snake bite. $73,000 for drugs. That is insane! The health industry knows they have us over a barrel.

Ridiculously absurd. That is nothing more than blackmail by the insurance companies to force us to buy their product instead of paying our own medical bills.

Ask a 53 year old man with an engineering degree and certificates that can't get a decent job in the Pacific Northwest anymore that same question. Teachers live in a world of their own and it is on a pedestal that none of us can relate to.

"Do you have a five year degree and a teaching certificate?".

I know what you mean, but I'm glad to share my work watermarked exif embedded in a low resolution. I regularly use Tineye and other software to hunt down abusers of my generosity. If someone is making money off of my work and I find out about it, I deal with it. :) If it is shared via social networking sites or blogs with a link back, I'm glad to allow that as well.

All of my work is available in high resolution for licensing or reproduction in art prints for a fee.

I was on Lolo Pass Road out of Zigzag. This was a 30 second shutter speed hand held while pointing it out of my car window. Simply put, the shot would be underexposed and black unless a flash of lightning struck and so effectively the exposure was a fraction of a second. The lightning was essentially its own flash bulb. :)

I was returning from shooting the stars and clouds over Lost lake and was lucky to have driven into the eye of the storm. :) Not sure if KATU allows me to post my web site, but you can Google my name and find more of my work. :) Thank you again. :)

They were off the trail and were trying to meet the next switchback. Bad move. I've grown up in the gorge and have lived in Bridal Veil. I know the trails. You can't assume that the next switchback is as long as the other and will be met by crossing between. There is usually a cliff between them.

Besides, these are the people that cause erosion and damage to the forest around the heavily traveled trails.

I wouldn't have called them experienced. I would assume the opposite.
