Most of us postal workers are not getting crap for benefits. Most postal employees are non career. With the exception of the few old timers left that fall under civil service most of us are getting screwed. I work 6 days a week this is a permanent route that belongs to me. However I do not have enough houses to be career. I would be but as they are doing to many routes they get contracted out to non postal employees so part of the route I don't get to service nor will I ever. We are non subsidised by the govt so we are much different in that respect we have to earn our own money and we do that with stamps. I do not agree the PMG should have gotten that pay raise at all, just remember though most of us are not enjoying the fruits of our labor.
