Big Hollywood : Last Night on 'Glee' 11/15/2011: 'Angry White People' Edition

I read this website a lot. I never watch and never have watched this show. Just the commercial makes my stomach turn. So to imply that we all love to hate blah blah blah, is simply not true. I have a two tuner DVR and I even go so far to make sure the tuner I'm not watching isn't even on Fox during this show. That way no one can even assume I'm watching it.

Big Hollywood : Tom Selleck's 'Blue Bloods' Most Commercial of New Series This Season

I wrote CBS and explained the large number of people that would probably be turned off from the show due to her presence in it. Apparently they didn't care, or enough of us didn't write in. If we all did they might give her the big boot and she can go shack up with Olberdoof with her pink liberal ball cap. I won't use a Bill Maher term when describing her.

Big Hollywood : Film Review: Christopher Nolan's 'Inception' is Bold, Cold, and Ultimately Exhilarating

Once again, although I would like to see this movie, I will wait and pay $1 vice $40. Now, I know it will make little difference to the bottom line, but I'm one who refuses to put the personal rants of the "stars" on the back burner to satisfy my desire for entertainment. While I agree that Nolan's Batman movies were good and non offensive unlike so many others from Hollywood (I won't rent Damon, I won't watch him on free TV...nothing, just to name one, Robbins, Sarandon, JL Curtis, many others), they weren't the greatest Batman stories ever written or presented by a long shot. This does look like a cool movie, but I couldn't know i spent that much money to see whoever this bimbo is that is so smart she knows the oil spill was caused by Cheney and Palin. And then Mr Tough guy Leo (who doesn't look to me like he could beat his way out of a wet paper bag) going on and on about the environment while riding private jets all over the world..F YOU!

Big Hollywood : SUCKER PUNCH SQUAD: 'Unthinkable' Falsely Suggests U.S. Does the Unthinkable

Other than my monthly DirecTv bill, Hollywood doesn't get any of my hard earned money. And that goes for the products that they endorse. Ask Nikon. I told them under no circumstances would I ever buy a Nikon product based on the views of their spokesperson (Ashton Kutcher..oil spill, pledge to Obama, etc. etc.). Ask Heinz. I asked them why I should continue to buy their ketchup if they were just going to cave in to the nanny state do-gooders trying to tell them how to make ketchup. Ask the NFL. When they let Mike Vick go right from jail to a $2 Million contract, I cancelled Sunday ticket. I speak with my wallet. Do YOU? I won't call it a boycott, but I will not patronize those companies who don't care what my personal beliefs are. I no longer allow myself to be fooled by these companies who want to absolve themselves of controversy by making some "the views and opinions of X do not reflect the views and opinions of Y). Well, to me they do. HBO..Bill Maher...same thing in my book, therefore, no subscription for me.

For as long as I can remember I always skipped most Beatles songs that were obviously put together by the dumbest Beatle (Paul). They are just sing-songy, skip to my lou, good day sunshine CRAP. No depth, no meaning.
There is nothing so special about this or any other movie to warrant shelling out 50 bucks for a couple to see a flick. With todays home entertainment technology any movie is just as, if not more so, enjoyable at home. Nothing sticky on the floor, you don't miss anything to pee, popcorn and soda are cheap, and you can turn off every phone in the house. Of course, as a free market advocate, this is a double edged sword as the theater owner pays the heaviest price for lack of patrons. Well, too bad. You got yourself in bed with these hollywood fakirs. Perhaps they need to re-evaluate the ticket pricing structure. My understanding is that the theater sees very little revenue from the price of the ticket, thus $5 popcorn and soda, $4 Milk Duds, etc for the theater owner to make a profit. Thus, the actors and directors pay no price for the lack of ticket sales, except perhaps in future offers to act and produce movies. But hey, I'm sure I could make ends meet if I made $25 million to act in a movie and never had to worry if the financiers got their money back. I'm sure I could make it a good 25 years at least without ever worrying if I got another gig. Just in case you can't figure it out....I HATE HOLLYWOOD.

Big Hollywood : Hollywood's Broke: In Defense of Jeff Zucker (Really)

Many people extend their intense dislike of the main stream media to the networks that they are associated with (well I do, so how many I don't know..but hey, in the liberal world one is many). Case in point. I'm a huge Notre Dame Fan, but I hardly even watch their games anymore because they are on NBC. I'm a big NFL fan, but I won't watch Sunday night football on NBC, just because it's on NBC. It doesn't even matter if my favorite team is on or not, it's enough for me that they aren't savvy enough to not put someone as divisive and hateful as Olbermann on their pre-game and half-time shows. I fought tooth and nail with my wife over the Olympics, only because they were on NBC. A good point was made about the shows on USA, SciFi, etc, but most people don't delve into who runs those small cable channels, but you can see the MSNBC ideology creeping into those networks as well. Look at all the negative stories about Immelt and Zucker on Glenn Beck. I'm to the point where it makes me sick to run my dishwasher (GE). I believe that TV producers made a big mistake in politicizing everything to the point where I won't even give a show a chance, and when I do I'm often disappointed (can I not even watch NCIS without hearing Palin bashing?).
