This is outrageous. It looks like Charles Heston is right. In his book, "The Courage to be Free" he says, " I believe in equality before law. Many of the issues spawned by the current cultural warmongers, however, do not make demands on the principle of equality before law. They are more concerned about the currency of cultural war - money and votes - than about principle." I live in San Diego myself, and i am disturbed by this very much. I think that quote says all about this situation.

This is a good start. I'm on the speech and debate team for my high school and one topic i talked about 3 times this year was, "Can the republican party regain an influence in American Politics in the near future?" I said they need to represent their voting population, stick to their word, stand by their principles and values as republicans, and act as an inseperable unit. These are four things that are necessary for the republicans. This is just the begining of what great things could come for them. It started back when the first stimulus bill was passed, the republicans all voted no and Nancy Pelosi flipped because she was scared. Then it fell apart. This recent event of Spector switching does not help them at all. But they can start a nice uptaking of the house and senate by this movement. By them comming off the "perfect washington" club, and comming down to the real world, they can get a better understanding from what they already should have know. It is like they are refreshing their burnt out brains. Hopefully this will work.

We are sooo over reacting to this swine flu. The flu itself kills a quater million people a year!! and flipping out over this flu that has killed only 100's??? Plus, anti-biotics can't help the flu, because it is a virus. My mom works at a hospital and she says that they are not admitting people for swine flu, because they can't fix it. Only your body can fight it off.

one of my local news stations said, "He's not changing parties, he's changing teams." This is soo true because in washington they are playing a game. Who can make the most press, who can have the best ratings ect. They forget that they serve our country. Former President Bush said, "As President, you make best decsisions in the best interest of the country, not yourself." That is one thing i think he said right.

We should be worried, but the gov't can not be ignorant to this one thing. THEY are not the saviors of the world. If they release to many drugs that combat this virus, the virus will build up resistance. They should be medicated only in deadly situations. They should not be given out in a flu vaccine way, then the virus will have fun messing with the CDC because they can't find a cure, then Obama will have to come in and yada yada ya, you get the point.

This is very dangerous. Why, because you are no longer going to be volunteering, you will be forced to volunteer. A BIG DIFFERENCE!!! Our country is so great because we allow for diversity. Some people don't like or have time to volunteer, but there is a larger group that can volunteer which makes up for the people that can't. By him trying to force us to volunteer, that defeats the purpose.
