Change.gov : Advancing Reproductive Rights and Health in a New Administration | Change.gov: The Obama-Biden Trans

If everyone is entitled to their religious beliefs then why should my taxpayer dollars go toward a practice I find abominable? Indeed, I cannot force my religious beliefs on others, but neither should the "pro-choice" movement force me to pay for abortions! Mr. President-Elect, if you truly respect the people of faith in this country, as you claimed from the outset of your campaign, the least you can do is not force those who strongly oppose abortion to pay for abortion as part of any healthcare plan. If you do, some might emulate Henry David Thoreau, and refuse to pay taxes as part of civil disobedience. In addition, allow to voice my opposition to FOCA.
