/Film : Tom McCarthy Was a Screenwriter on Pixar's Up

If I'm not mistaken, PIXAR's done a similar thing with Toy Story 3, where they brought on Michael Arndt (Little Miss Sunshine) to help with the script. Good to know that they're open to outside perspectives.

/Film : First Look: Russell Crowe in Ridley Scott's Robin Hood

Point taken. But then we could debate that about every aspect of the design. To me, it's about believability. And I feel this haircut is a little less believable to me.

Other than his hair, which looks a little too modern, I think it's pretty down-to-earth. Much less a deviation than, say RDJ's Sherlock.

That's touche (too-shay). Not douche misspelled. Hope it's still a 21st century word. ;)

Okay. I remember watching the Witch Mountain movie(s) as a kid. Both of them (the TV movie from the 90s included). And I don't remember either of them being WHAM! BAM! THANK YOU, MA'AM! type action movies, but rather a moody children's films with interesting sci-fi ideas. This looks just horrible. Everything is laid out in the trailer in a neat little package. With this trailer and the new Star Trek one, I'm seeing a disturbing trend of action-ing up these old franchises to sell it to youngsters.
