I DON'T MIND IF I DO!!!! This is my "Vent". I have been a problem solver my whole life. Currently I am an IT Manager and use that skill everyday. Given all the pieces of a puzzle I can almost always solve any problem. The problems OUR COUNTRY currently faces CAN be solved. We just need to put our heads together and figure this thing out. This is my shot at a solution http://statesmen4america.org . This may or may not be the answer, but I am still working on it. I have see lots of ideas on what Congress need to fix. But very little on how we can actually implement those fixes. At least without the involvement of Congress. I have been scanning this site and others looking for an IDEA or something that would spark and idea in my head that can be used to implement all the "Changes" that need to be made. I stumbled across this website that also is an interesting idea... http://goooh.com Any other Ideas or sites that can help me?

I like Nelson's idea to clean out Congress. OK!! I NEED YOUR HELP!! I see lots of ideas posted on this website about how we can take our country back. The problem is we the voters can not make these changes, only our Elected Representatives can do that. And we ALL know what the odds of that happening are!!!! We need an idea that can force Congress to enact legislation that we, the VOTERS, want. Well, it just so happens I have such an idea. AND BEST OF ALL, WE DON’T NEED CONGRESS’S HELP TO IMPLEMENT IT. "Promises Make - Promises Kept", is what we need to force Congress to do. Our VOTES are the only weapon we have in this battle. IMAGE THIS: Several weeks before the next election, you go to a website and pull up your favorite candidate. Everything he/she says is exactly the same way you feel. They align with you on all the important issue. But, you get this feeling of "deja vu". Didn't I vote for this guy last time? Did he "Keep his Promises" last time? WELL YOU ARE IN LUCK, you click on his name and a page is displayed with a list of all those "Promises Made" and the number 40 after his name. That 40 represents his score, meaning he has kept 40% of his promises from the last election. Now you are thinking, "Maybe I can do better", you go to another page, answer a few question and you are presented with a list of candidates that most closely fit your views. And next to their names are more scores: 25 - 55 - 70 - 95. You check out the candidate with a score of 95, and find that you could live with a couple small issues you disagree with. At least you can trust that his "Promises Made" will be "Promises Kept". Now I have been working on this idea for a couple years, and created a website to explain it in more detail. What I need from you is to take a look at this website http://statesmen4america.org If you think this is a good idea and would like to help make it a reality, email me roger@statesmen4america.org We need Researchers, Lawyers (Sorry about this one), Webmasters, Washington Insiders, Marketing, and Everyday Americans to help get this implemented by the 2010 elections. I am looking for a dozen or so, open minded people (from both side of the isle) to help get this site up and going.

Other than the Fair Tax, best Idea I have heard. I vote YES...... OOOHHH way a minute, I can't vote on that, only our elected reps can do that, and we all know how the current bunch will vote.

Actually, you will probably see more of this in the future. I am not sure if it because more of this sort of thing is happening more, or just reported more. I work in I.T. at a small hospital, and we just hooked up with a national reporting system that can in "Realtime" (actually, even before the doctor sees the patient) know what complaints are going into the nation's Emergency Departments. So they can see trends of "Headaches", "Fever", "Stomach Pain", or whatever your complaint is when you are registered. And see spikes in the numbers by areas in the country. You could be warned days in advance of a Flu hitting your area.

I am not sure what opinions you had that people disagreed with, but I think I agree with you here. In fact, if we all agreed on everything, this would be a very boring world. Actually I think disagreements can lead to MUCH better solutions. Argue, discuss, then vote. If later you discover you were wrong, have the courage to admit it. You will be a much better person because of it, and you will be respected by those who disagreed with you. That is what a Statesmen is like. I have something for you to checkout. Jacob, I like the idea of having Candidates sign a pledge, but as you know that doesn't always make them keep their promises. About 2 years ago I came up with an idea that could make them do just that, keep their promises. Forgotten, I think you are missing one very important thing....... The person that you are calling a "terrorist" is a human being that needs our protection. And the "baby" is nothing more than a mass of tissue, while the head is still in the womb. You must have missed your sensitivity training when it comes to "terrorist"............. now wait a minute, I am getting confused....... since the "baby's" head was in water, would that be torture? So maybe we should protect the "baby" also.......

I had no idea there was a Global Warming ad on 24. I watch it regularly, then I heard Glenn talk about it, and I thought "I didn't see that on the show". I have ReplayTV and never watch the commercials, and was shocked when I accidently saw the ad. I hate to boycott the show, but it is getting too far away from what most of us think of when we hear the work "Terroist". I Love the Rambo movies too!!!
