Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : America's Wish List

I think the books to the Federal Government should be opened and audited as well as the Federal Reserve. All books should remain open thereafter for all American to see. That way we know exactly where our money has gone. I also believe that term limits should be enacted and salary caps should be created. Perhaps we should also tax Congress at the 90% tax level.

Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : Science Update - Stem Cell Miracle - Bigger Breasts. Wait, WHAT?

I think in many instances, the life wasn't intentionally ended, but the parents donated the baby when he/she died. I know there is a lot of uproar against harvesting fetus's ( I am against it too) but I am not against it if it comes from a parent that donated a lost child out of love to try to help another. You are right about the adult stem cell research. There was an announcement last summer that it is possible to extract stem cells from the skin on a person's arm. The research has come along way. A friend of mine has a sister that is dying from some sort of blood disease. The doctors extracted stem cells from her brother and performed a complete blood transfusion....In less than a week she was out of her coma. She remains in the hospital but this was only performed three weeks ago. It is too soon to tell, but the affects of the stem cell implant and blood transfusion has made a significant improvement in her health.

Contrary to the article, this isn't anything new. This has been going on in India for quite some time. I think that there are extraordinary advantages to stem cell research. It has been proven to help cure diseases that were previously thought to have been incurable. With the technology these days, there is no reason to have to take stem cells from fetus's and those Dr. should be ashamed. As for the actual medical benefits, if it can help an older person with Alzheimer's, or a child with Diabetes, then the research is well worth it. Some can say it is unethical, but the discovery of Penicillin was shunned too. It's just a matter of how they go about it.

I agree. I think when this is all said and done, a new political party will emerge. One that does work for the people.......Because at that point, that is the only thing that will be tolerated.

If we are to keep the electoral college, then the votes need to be distributed evenly. Wyoming should have the same amount of votes as California, etc. Who's to say the smaller populated states shouldn't have as much as a voice as the larger ones? We have the technology to change to a popular vote count vs the electoral college. The problem does not necessarily derive from the electoral college, but the lack of honesty when it comes to ACORN and other companies registering illegitimate voters and the government not doing anything about it. The entire process needs to be reviewed. In order for checks and balances to work, they need to be enforced.
