I am sure online (and other) porn has contributed to feeding an porn addiction that many find themselves trapped in. This is like making alcoholic available to an alcoholic and then being surprised when they drink. As a society we need to stop feeding the addiction on billboards, TV, movies, etc. Those under spell of this addiction to try new things to feed their desires, such as this guy did or go to the level of molesting children. May God have mercy on us.

I am not in favor of the cameras, however, they have slowed the average speed of 70 down to 55 or 60 on I380, which is nice. It was impossible to drive even get close to the speed limit before the cameras went up. Now there only a few zig zagging between cars at 60 instead of 75. This has been a nice change. My question is why add another camera to the northbound lane and still nothing on the southbound late? Do they figure those going south don't speed?

I believe these apartments were built on top of the old dump. This is probably why the parking lot is breaking up - everything is settling below them.

The paper the other day said something about CR tax payers have to foot the bill for an 8 million dollar parking ramp as part of this package. Let's contact the council members and tell them how we feel about this whole deal. Remind them that if they vote yes, they will be voted out of office. This should be a crime.

I suppose it won't be long until they start requiring inspections and licenses of bicycles again. Cops used to impound a bicycle that did not have an update license and the owner had to pay a fine to get the bike back.

The city should give them a variance - basically a variance is a payoff to the city to override their zoning rule - as it has to go before a board for approval. They should request a variance from the city - developers and other businesses get these all the time.

Maybe Marion needs a 'Buy Local' mandate as well and the city of Marion should choose Marion contractors. Why should Cedar Rapids have to choose a contractor in Marion? Cedar Rapids should choose Cedar Rapids contractors before considering going outside the city as these are the companies that are paying taxes in Cedar Rapids. Makes sense.

You might feel differently if you lived on the West side of the Cedar River and live in or just outside of the flood plain and have a mortgage on a home in that area.
