But that would mean Sunburst has a Cutie Mark connection to the Mane 6. Which would cause a lot of problems in itself.

I couldn't care less either way if Starlight was reformed or not. I just think it could of been handled better.

Things I liked:
--The methods Starlight Glimmer used to alter the past (I'll do the most evil thing possible. Teach ponies to be nice to each other). She really 1-up'd Twilight there.
--All of the faces Starlight made.
--The fact that she was really skilled at Magic enough to fight on par with Twilight
--The scene where Twilight brought Starlight to the present to show her what she had caused.
--The fact that Spike was there
--The Sombra alternate timeline.

Things I disliked:
--Starlight's weak backstory. While watching I had this interesting alternate idea that the Rainboom delayed Starlight getting her Cutie Mark. WAY more interesting idea.
--All the ponies just staring at us at the very end.
--Nightmare Moon in the alternate timeline.
--The resolution (Starlight was definitely going to get redeemed, but I think it could of been executed better).

Everything was there in order to have a good resolution, but I can't help but think the order was a bit messed up. Show Starlight's past, THEN take her to the terrible present. It started off REALLY strong, but got really weak at the end. Overall, I liked the episode, would re-watch everything except the last 5 minutes.

I'm not a fan of their Cutie Marks. They're too small, tough to tell apart in a far shot, and basically reduces the individuality of each crusader.
