Longmont Times-Call : Longmont Humane Society no longer listing breeds of mixed-breed animals - Longmont Times-Call

Then demand a DNA test for all of your tenants with dogs then. Again, most dogs at an animal shelter are mixes, so they are not lying. If you are truly "Allwise" you can figure out what a pitbull looks like without someone telling you. Right?

How are they lying? Most dogs at a shelter are mixes. If you are adopting a dog you can do they DNA test yourself.

Most people know what a pit bull looks like. If you are that concerned about adopting a "mix" pay for a DNA test yourself.

Longmont Times-Call : Longmont should consider \'housing first\' for homeless - Longmont Times-Call

Please do not do this. We will attract more homeless. How about this, those that want to provide shelter for the homeless can let them live in their house. Longmont will give you a tax break for doing so.

Longmont Times-Call : Longmont council takes plunge on new indoor pool and ice rink - Longmont Times-Call

Comparing an ice rink to an essential service like trash collections is not a valid comparison. Plenty of residents would like a Go cart track, a roller coaster, and a lazy river through the city. It doesn't mean the city should fund them. Maybe this needs to go to a public vote, or a private company should build it. Maybe this tax payer money would be better spent on fixing our roads or spending the money on schools.

You didn't answer m question. Does the rink make money or break even? This may be a project better suited or a private company. The city should not risk the tax payers money.

Can someone post if the current ice rink makes any money or doe it break even? Seems like too much risk for the city too take. If there is such a high demand, wouldn't a private company be moving on this already?

The city couldn't handle the problem so Regel did. If the LPD did their job, the trees would not have to be removed. Longmont needs to stop attracting transients.

I think everyone is missing the point that the "homeless" in the park choose to be homeless. You can give them money, clothes, a home etc., and they will still choose to drink and sleep in the park. Why are residents that pay taxes in this town being bullied while the homeless take over the park? Will all you pro homeless people sing the same tune when Roosevelt park has 100 homeless there? Word travels fast in the homeless community, so that might not be far fetched. I for one don't want the message for Longmont to be"Come to Longmont, hang out drink and sleep in the parks. The cops won't do anything, they will ask you your name and tell you to have a great day. The residents that live there are to PC to do anything about you either"

The homeless you are talking about and the homeless in the park are two different breeds. The homeless in the park do not want help, they want to drink and do drugs in the park all day, while they laugh at residents and police that can't do a damn thing.
