Breitbart.com : Cain says he won\'t answer harassment questions

Plenty of doubts about Cain's candidacy? From whom, AP reporters? Who cares what they think, they're all going to vote for Obama in 2012 and everybody knows it. These media pukes need a dose of reality: they could affect a Democratic primary if there was one, because Democrats believe what they say. But Republicans hate their guts, and assume that anything they say is designed only to help Democrats. What else can one conclude about "allegations" where the accuser is unnamed and the supposed acts of harassment are unspecified? If there's a better definition of "unwarranted but mean-spirited smear," I don't know what it is.

Breitbart.com : Democrats warn of US shutdown over debt

This whole article is stupid, and the Democrats' rhetoric is worse. If the debt ceiling is not raised, the worst thing that happens -- and many would call it the best thing -- is that the government could not borrow any more money. That does not mean the U.S. will default on its debt, nor does it mean that the government will shut down. It just means that the bureaucrats will have to figure out how to get by with only 75% of the money they thought they were going to have. Interest payments, bond redemptions, and the like can go on as scheduled. Social Security can continue to send out checks. Grants for studying the mating habits of the purple-crested louse, not so much.

Big Government : Judge Halts Implementation of California Cap and Tax

I'm not sure that this is a good thing. Until one of these SuperBlue states goes bankrupt with an unemployment rate higher than 25%, liberals will still be able to con others into supporting their policies. The ideology cannot be defeated until some of group of them, somewhere, finally drives enough business out to where entire cities are being boarded up and abandoned, and their government runs out of Other People's Money. Detroit is almost there, but Detroit isn't large enough to convince people. Liberals will have to lay waste to New York or California before everyone finally 'gets it' that you can't run a government on unicorns and rainbows.

In whose reality is there a "reinvigorated" president Obama who has a "new image" as a builder of compromise? This guy has been in office two years; his media sycophants can"t just declare that he has a 'new image' and make it so. His party lost more than 60 seats in the House... No president has done worse since 1928. If that 'reinvigorated' him, he is one weird dude.

Big Government : Is Obama Regulatory Reform Real?

We haven't seen this much chutzpah in the Blatant Lying category since Clinton was president. C'mon, his FCC just made one major power grab, the EPA is doing one a week, the FDA is moving to make us all eat our spinach, and here comes this clown on the stage to SAY that he's "reducing burdensome regulations." So he gets a headline that SAYS he's doing X, a bunch of people who don't pay very much attention assume that he's doing X, and meanwhile Policy Y moves ahead full speed. It's government by deceit, executed by professional liars, and abetted by a Washington press corps that wants the liars to win.

Big Government : Rasmussen: Most Americans View AZ Shooting as Random Act of Violence, Not Politics

The older people on the Left appear to view this incident as an opportunity to re-live 1995, when the media was able to pin the Oklahoma City bombing on "right wing extremism." They haven't stopped to think that this isn't 1995. They don't have the media monopoly they had then. There was no Fox News in 1995; only geeks had an Internet account, and web sites like this one did not exist. Even Free Republic -- the first of the big political discussion sites -- hadn't yet started up. It's no surprise that these days, they can't sell a crock like "Sarah Palin did it" because they can't make "Sarah Palin did it" come out of every known pore of the media. They can only make it come out of their media, while common sense reigns everywhere else, and Sarah Palin herself cannot be muzzled while she is smeared. As a consequence, the Left is not only failing to sell this, they are making public fools of themselves and further alienating sensible people.

Breitbart.com : Shooting tests US West love affair with guns

The woman who doesn't think that guns have a place in an urban environment obviously does not know that the murder rate in Washington, DC has gone down substantially since the Supreme Court struck down the DC gun ban.
Big Journalism : Correcting Slate Writer Jacob Weisberg's Defamation

The Left imagines that it is still 1995. There is no Fox News, only geeks have Internet accounts, and they can smear conservatives with impunity -- as they did in the wake of the Oklahoma City bombing -- and that nary a dissenting voice will be heard. Instead, half the country is watching them spew the very vitriol they claim to be decrying, engaging in the worst sort of hateful bigotry as they accuse others of bigotry and hate. It's obvious they have no clue how badly they are coming off. Most of them appear to live in liberal echo chambers, so they are unlikely to find out how badly they are fouling themselves until they are covered from head to toe in slime.

Big Government : Time: Obama Is in Over His Head

Reading Halperin's article -- a totally lame exercise in making excuses for the national misadventure we now call "the Obama presidency" -- one can almost hear poor Halperin sobbing over the fact that his hopes are dashed, his change is punked, and his messiah has fallen face-first into the mud. Sure, it's all Bush's fault. The Republicans did it. If only. Does Halperin not understand how little credibility he and his Obama-worshipping colleagues in the left wing media retain with the public? People are laughing at guys like him; when they aren't angry at them for so seriously leading the country astray with their Advocacy Journalism. And now comes Halperin with more advocacy journalism, to "explain" why the messiah is a total flop who makes everything worse? One can only hope that Time, like Newsweek, ends up being sold for a buck to some retired plutocrat who wants to keep it as a pet.

Big Journalism : Surprise: White House Unhappy with Dinesh D'Souza

It's testimony to how sleazy the White House is these days that they would tell their liberal press henchmen to pour "birther sauce" on an article that has nothing to do with the birther argument, obviously on the assumption that few people will ever bother to actually read the piece in Forbes. We will thus have liberal quackpots authoritatively stating that D'Souza claims that Obama was born outside the US, and therefore deserves to be tossed down the Birther Hole. Meanwhile, the rest of the MSM will land in dentists' waiting rooms from sea to shining sea without a word of any of this.
