Thanks Mark, I am a self-confessed Idealist. I believe in aiming for perfection. Your book looks interesting and I can see how much inner and outer conflict there must be in such a person's life. I trust and hope that it will help many people reach acceptance of themselves and others.

Brian, I think this is very insightful. Much of our procrastination is due to holding on to potential rather than risking failure. And I think the not being good enough is very close to the core, underpinning almost every other problem we experience.

Kkgal, I agree that we can mould our life through our mind. However I do think that when you are driven by fear and so motivated to success or into a relationship, the foundations of that success or relationship are poisoned. It's always possible to heal that fear, but untreated it's just pushed the problem further out to surface later.

Siva, you are your attention. That is what the authentic You is. What are You in every context. It is the resolving of the conflicts that determines what you become. I agree with you. Acceleration is only necessary when there is too little conflict in relation to your ability to resolve it.

Thanks, Kate. I love all your readings of the articles. Seriously, it's by getting lots of people's perspectives on a topic that makes it so much more dimensional and refined.

The Zero Stress System : Authentic Living

Diane, the Law of Attraction is largely misunderstood. It's become hugely popular because people think that there is some tangible technique that will get them a shortcut to what they want. It's not really about the techniques. It's about getting yourself in the place where emotionally and psychologically it's natural for you to own something or feel something. You don't think it into being or create it, you just become it. If Life could be boiled down in a step by step process, we would all have gotten bored and moved on long ago. Just as we wouldn't watch films that followed a rigid formula. The adventure is in the journey from struggle to mastery. I will write more about this some time in the future.

The Zero Stress System : The Key To Making Lasting Inner Change

Thanks for posting Teresa. It's a scary thing to take a leap of faith, but ultimately the biggest risk is not living your true life. There are points you reach where you'll never be able to go back or even comprehend why you once believed certain things. Stay on your path, it won't always be easy, but on it the you'll find it the adventure of life.

Exactly Vincent, Life will guide you the exact path, if you will just listen to what it tells you. Too often though we are too busy trying to change the world that we don't hear it.

The Zero Stress System : The Key To Making Lasting Inner Change

Hi Ruth, It's really about being in the world, but not of it. There are two worlds. One that you could call psychological, emotional or spiritual. And the other is the physical world we see about us. The key is to understand that at a deep enough level that you can know it when the world has a hold of you. And that really just comes with understanding who and what you are. If you see yourself as a physical being you'll only see physical solutions. If you see yourself as an intelligence or consciousness you'll have access to solutions that seem to be miraculous or inspired. There are many routes, but it's essentially about making space for yourself mentally.. Like any skill, mastery comes with practice.

The Zero Stress System : Living And Coping With Regret

Hi Brian, A thought is always connected to a deeper thought structure. Essentially there are two main thought structures. That of the ego (wanting to be right). And that of what I call the flow of life, or what some would call God or spirit. Though there seem to be many varied thoughts, they are all branches and leaves that stem from one of these two roots. We all get distracted because the level of everyday life, seems so far from these roots that when you look at the leaves, it's so hard to tell which is better. So in our confusion we fall for many short term temptations. Since I wrote this post, I was talking to someone. And as we were discussing these ideas we came up with a clearer way of expressing the idea. Which is really that we have these goals and visions to motivate us down a certain path. But sometimes we hold onto those goals and visions past the point where they are healthy for us. There's a time to persist and a time to move to a new goal. Knowing which time it is, is part of the art of living. I don't think your focus needs to change that greatly. It's just a slight shift in perspective. I'm sure you still want the best relationship you can have with each of them. The paradox of life is that we are happiest when we lose any concern for ourselves. It's when we think we know what is best, that we conflict with others. Shift your focus to where they are at. Lose any concern for anything, except that to want the best for them. Not what you think will be the best for them. But that they are happy. Find out what their concerns are? What form and extent are they willing to communicate to? How are they feeling? What do they dream of? Then meet them where they are, in the way and to the extent that they are comfortable with. This is how people grow and develop. As plants do. By being nurtured with the emotional nutrients they need to grow. And as they grow and evolve, they reach the potential that you knew they had, but weren't living up to. But they'll never do it because they are told to. Only when they grow into it. Soon you will have great relationships with each of them as Individuals and they will love you and want to be around you. At this point it doesn't matter whether you live in the same house, are married or whatever. Your relationship will have transcended such worldly issues. And you won't care anymore.

The Zero Stress System : Living And Coping With Regret

I think the key, Manoj, is to get so sensitive that we can see when someone is saying that they agree with their words, but their body language is telling us something different. Then we can ask or try to discover where we lost them before the split becomes so big that the relationship breaks. In the same way, if you are seeking a new career, you can test small steps along the way before making massive changes and taking big risks. Catch problems early and correct before they most people notice them. We only have problems because we didn't spot the more subtle warning signs.
