Government health care choices should be the same for :
- politicians
- other government employees

Veterans (who were not dishonarably discharged) should be allowed the same or better, government health care choices as those mentioned above.

Until the government can balence its own checkbook, they shouldn't even think of changing health care.
Ideas for Health Care Reform:
- Make health care portable. Why does it have to be linked to an employer?
- Reduce medical provider fees/penalties due to litigation or protection from litigation
- Discourage frivilous law suits and cap their compensation
- Do not financially support abortion or embrionic stem cell research; stay out of moral medicine
- Do not raise taxes
- Provide emergency medicine for anyone who needs it
- Continue expanding on health education at all age levels, including fitness and prevention

In Norwich New York, our local Tea Party organization is planning on having a booth at the Chenango County Fair. They are also looking for interested activists who wish to take a bus to the rally planned at Washington DC on September 12th. I think our group is very respectful of our american history and of all people in general, regardless of whether people agree with the Tea Party movement or not.

I have not read the replies to your comment ProudAgnostic , so bear with me if this was already expressed. Our founders had a respect and a reverence for God. To the majority of these early leaders that was in particular to Jehovah, Yahweh or the Lord. They also knew how precious it was to be a nation free to worship, even if that meant it was not God as they understood him to be.

I think that most people who agree or support the 912 project have a respect and reverence for God. I think one of the important benefits of having that is that it keeps both its people and its leaders humble and their motives in check. That does not mean they do not respect other people who do not share this theological concept.

I think if you are a law-abiding citizen you deserve representation in this government. I personally do not think less of You or anyone who has other beliefs. As a christian I long for you and anyone else who is not in a right relationship with God through his son because I believe your eternal end is dependant on his saving grace.

It is so difficult to watch President Obama bow low and smile warmly to powerful leaders who have represented oppresive and corrupt governments that hate us and our way of life. I believe President Obama has the best of intentions but I greatly disagree with his ideologies. Right now I am most offended by the President's lack of recognition to all of the people who tried to communicate with him via the Tea Parties.

MY TEA PARTY EXPERIENCE:
Attending yesturday's Tea Party in upstate New York felt great! I went with some loved ones. Everyone had their own, hand-made signs. There was about 100 people present. With pride we held up our signs and chanted: "Stop the spending! Now!" I met people from all walks of life. Everyone was inspired and respectful. The local TV news remained informative and neutral; they let the Protestors' voices do the talking. I felt the local news papers, however, were much more positional.

The Evening Sun headline: "GOP hopes to build momentum behind Tea Parties".

The Daily Star summarizes article: "the tea parties were promoted by Freedom Works, a conservative, non-profit advocacy group based in Washington D.C. and led by former Republican House Majority Leader Dick Armey of Texas, who is now a lobbyist".

The organizers gathered several email addresses in hopes to continue organizing future events.

La Villa Strangiatto is my favorite RUSH song. I hope your Tea Party went well. I felt like I was doing a good and right thing by attending the one, here in New York. My sign stated: "Salvation comes from GOD, not government."

These are the times in which we live. It will not be easy. I recognize that I may not live to see the day when the country is the way the Founding Fathers would have wanted it. But I am not giving up!

Today was a catalist to wake up the nation. During the Tea Party I attended today a young man approached me and said: "Where did the hot-dog lady go?" Clearly we have a lot of work to do. Our children are worth it! I wrote (again) to my representatives today. I fight every day to teach my children the principles the Bible and this 912 site stand for. Sometimes my kids are sick of it. If I had a dime for every time they rolled their eyes at me, I would be in a higher tax bracket! I am trying to educate myself and my children on the American History I have long forgotten and they were never taught. I try to seek opportunities for us a family and for each of my children to serve others; get a concept of excellence and sacrifice.
We have a lot of work to do but our children are worth it! Do not lose hope fellow Patriots!
