Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : 3/13 - 3/25

California had several tea parties when the movement first started, and we are still organizing more. Los Angeles had an absolutely huge gathering of people in Fullerton (as many as 15,000) to protest taxes and hold our legislatures' feet to the fire. It was a demonstration of a great number of Californians against the largest state tax hike in the history of our nation, and against the republicans in our legislature who have sold out our people time and time again. We expect higher taxes from democrats, not from republicans. The radio station estimated over 15,000 people attended, based on the park managers' stated capacity of the area which was overflowing with people, and estimates from officers. Other media reports are stating around 8,000. Either way, it is a shocking look into how many down here in southern California are becoming fed up with the government and the taxes. We have the highest sales, income, and gas tax in the nation, some of the highest business taxes in the west, the highest paid teachers in the nation (with some of the worst schools), and an outstanding debt to show for it all. Californians are none too happy. Here are some news reports about the event. It was ignored by many major media outlets, and I'm sure you can guess why. http://www.dailybulletin.com/ci_11864026 http://www.pasadenastarnews.com/news/ci_11863799 Here is the station website with information about the massive protest- http://www.kfiam640.com/pages/johnandkenshow/inde... I hope all Californians can come together, get informed about what's going on, and fight to bring our state back into grace.
