Big Government : Chevy Volt Sales Plummet in January

Cold-Guy: Lexus, BMW, Mercedes are also considered "tremendous vehicles" here in the US. My "numbers" on Volt sales vs projections are easily available on the web. They are not in dispute. GM sold 77%of their projected 2011 Volt forecast of 10,000. The 2012 sales forecast of 40,000 Volts starts with January's sales of 603. At that rate (which might improve), it would take 5 1/2 years to sell their 2012 forecast. You locate yourself "down here" from Florida. Sounds like Central or South America, if not the Caribbean. How many recharging stations are in your local area? How many dealers with spare parts for maintenance? Do you prefer to drive with the air conditioner on? Do mountains figure into your driving, with their energy-demanding strain on driving range ? Is the miniscule gasoline engine (requiring premium fuel) adequate for mountainous driving ? Are the inadequate brakes an issue with your driving needs ? I don't blame Wall Street for the $60-$80 billion wasted on propping up General Motors, when the same benefit could have been achieved with normal commercial bankruptcy, and zero cost to US taxpayers. To date, Texaco has been one of the largest corporations to declare bankruptcy, and they have continued operations with no problems. General Motors gets no blame for highly leveraged loans of dubious quality backed by overextended insurance companies and an insane rush to support "too big to fail" contributors to major political entities. .

ELECTRIC Jet Engine ! What a great idea for the Airbus VOLT ! Saves Fuel, as well as lowering CO2. Only problem is that it needs to be recharged overnight after flying for 40 miles ! ! ! But we need to fight Global Warming. Global Warming is caused by empty wallets of Bureaucrats.

Big Government : Chevy Volt Sales Plummet in January

GM projected 10,000 Volt sales in 2011, and were talking about raising that goal to 15,000. We heard all the stories, including production suspended for model year change. Volt is not the first auto that GM has manufactured. Actual 2011 SALES were 77% of goal (7,671 vehicles). GM forecast sales of 40,000 Volts in 2012, and roared to a blistering start of 603 sold last month (January). Now you hear GM executives talk about "matching production to demand". Volts are indeed sold. Your statement is incorrect. The purchaser receives a US Government rebate check of $7,500. Your statement that "the government" is buying significant numbers of Volts indicates that consumer demand is much worse than the sales to date would initially indicate. You state you do not live in "your country" - I assume you mean the US. Well, not everyone can. But, it is nice to hear that you enjoy the big, gas-guzzler Caddy, and that it is available for rental in foreign lands.

So, Obama is running his $1 Billion campaign on $3-$5 contributions ? ... Say they average out to $4 each. ..... So, do you REALLY believe he has 250 million contributors ? ..... Nah .... Georgie Soros and his front "organizations" are footing most of that. .... And, ... folks like Solyndra, LIght-Squared, Telsa Motors, and other useless front groups are giving $100K for half a billion contributions. What a country ! ! ! (apologies to Yakov Smirnoff)

Breitbart.com : What led to `Project Gunwalker\'?

"By 2009, the ATF was reporting that some 90 percent of the weapons Mexican authorities recovered and submitted for tracing originated in the United States" That is Washington-Speak. "Submitted for tracing" is the key weasel phrase. Only a SMALL percentage of weapons the Mexicans captured were considered by them to have originated in the US. Those they suspected came from the US were given to the US to verify. Turns out, the Mexicans guess right in 90% of the cases. Most of the weapons seized in Mexico either came from OTHER sources (presumably including all automatic weapons, including submachine guns and assault rifles), or were not correctly identified as being from the US. There is speculation that the REAL purpose of this eFF'ing (Fast & Furious) exercise was to 'show Americans that our gun culture' was responsible for Mexico's gun difficulties, and therefore, the 2nd amendment needs to be ignored.

Breitbart.tv : Global Warming Scientist Takes on 52 Skeptics; Same Man Once Touted Global Cooling

We must have more Global Warming Conferences (like Cancun, Copenhagen, Kyoto). ..... ..... ... The world suffers from Global Warming .... ..... ...... Fortunately, the "Gore Effect" -- extremely cold weather at GW Conferences -- balances GW out, so the oceans don't boil. .... Cancun's cold temps broke 100 yr records. Copenhagen, at last year's conference, also had record cold. If the Global Warming gets any worse, we'll have to double the number of GW Conferences, in order to mitigate the effects.

Breitbart.tv : Bill Clinton Faces Anger in Haiti

Sigh .... Hait's condition has nothing to do with the Government of France, any more than the US's condition has to do with the Government of Great Britain. The US became independent in 1781 through a successful armed revolution against Great Britain under George III. Haiti became independent in 1804 through a successful armed revolution against France under Napoleon.

Breitbart.com : BP\'s altered photo distorts spill center activity

Photo Journalists have very very strict standards in altering photographs. Except for darkening or lightening the image so it stands out better, or cropping out non-meaningful edges, NOTHING is permitted. Your local paper will not permit telephone lines to be removed, because of this. .... .... What BP did is simply Faux-Tography. Absolutely without honesty.
