It likely would be a relief for him. No matter how a person feels about him personally, it's hard not to believe that something is irreversibly broken in this guy. Death might actually look like peace to him.

If history (his and sexual predators in general) is any indicator it seems to me we either keep him locked up now or we lock him up again later, after there is yet another victim. Whether it be the result of things that happened early in life to him or whether he is just wired wrong matters little now. He is what he is. How many victims ( statistically speaking victims are often future abusers) does the rest of society have to suffer before enough is enough?
No kidding. The only good news here is if you are planning on selling and getting the hell outta here. I'll be able to sell here and buy in the southwest, pay cash for an equal or better house than I have now, have no payments and even put some money in the bank. I'll be replacing the ocean for 300 days of sun per year and have spending money to boot. This is a great place to have owned a house if you've had it for awhile, especially if you plan on selling and taking that money and using it elsewhere.
