Second, Odo's investigation and travel moves at the speed of plot, and is furthered along in time to match the various twists and turns of the hearing. How far is this planet from Bajor? How much travel time is involved much less spending time looking around before Odo finds the one person who can help his investigation? How does he convince her to come back in time for the "dramatic courtroom reveal" at the end of the trial? And how is there enough time to accomplish all this when the arbiter wanted the case wrapped up in time for dinner?
I know it's useless to expect logical consistency in a fantasy about interstellar adventures, but it just seems to be lazy writing to me. My $0.02.

I took this as JD letting Bashir down easy, until he refused to take the hint.
There's such a thing as being too eager, Dr. Bashir. It took me until I was 20 to figure that out, he seems to be taking longer.

This is further support that Q is on par with Trelane and the foster parents of Charlie X from The Original Series. Omnipotent, but lacking (or ignoring) a moral compass.

It makes sense that Star Trek’s Indiana Jones analogue would be very familiar with Ferengi customs and culture, above and beyond her relationship with Sovak. Who else but the Ferengi would you go to to sell cultural artifacts of dubious provenance?
It also brings some added dimension to her relationship to Sovak in ST:TNG “Captain’s Holiday,” he seemed way more angry and upset than if she had just betrayed him in a business deal. He could have realized she was using oo-mox as a weapon, and it didn’t mean as much to her as it did to him.

Probably best not to sign a contract with clauses in a different language that you don't understand.
Andy Warhol said, "Art is what you can get away with." I think that the Ferengi motto is that "Business is what you can get away with."
Still not nice to put sexual harassment into the contract terms. I wonder if Roddenberry liked including a race of pervs so he could tell more of those kind of stories.
